Stopped in for an afternoon lunch - loved it, will be back

The chicken parm is MASSIVE, very generous portions, good drinks, good wine, great place to go when you're looking for Italian but not looking to break the bank

I don’t like to be critical but this was a disappointing experience. The noise level on a Friday night was unbearable and the food rather mediocre.

I’ll come back just for that olive oil to dip with the bread! Loved it! We also enjoyed the pizza, of course! We shared a large Caesar salad and two pizzas. We came on a slow weekday lunch. The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment we came in to when we left.

San Matteo continues to be one of my go-to spots. The pizza is consistently excellent, always cooked to perfection with that ideal balance of crisp and chew. It’s the kind of place where you know exactly what you’re getting every time, and it never disappoints.

The pasta dishes I’ve tried have also been very good. The rigatoni bolognese stands out as a favorite: rich, hearty, and done right. Another go-to is the vestuti pizza, which I keep coming back to.

A great way to start the meal is with one of their charcuterie boards. The one pictured is from their happy hour menu and is a solid option to share. Everything pairs well with wine, and the staff does a great job recommending something based on what you like, whether you’re a casual drinker or a bit more particular.

I was there last week on a very busy night, and it really stood out. There was only one server handling the entire restaurant, including the outdoor seating. Despite that, she managed everything impressively staying attentive, organized, and friendly the whole time. It’s not easy to juggle that kind of workload, and she handled it exceptionally well.

I had an absolutely phenomenal experience at this restaurant from start to finish. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that made us feel instantly welcome. The ambiance was the perfect balance of cozy and upscale — soft lighting, tasteful décor, and a lively but comfortable atmosphere.

The food was nothing short of outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You can truly taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients in every bite. The appetizers were creative and perfectly portioned, the entrées were cooked to perfection, and the desserts were pure indulgence. It’s clear that the kitchen takes pride in every plate that leaves the pass.

Service was equally impressive — attentive without being intrusive. Our server was knowledgeable, offered excellent recommendations, and ensured everything was perfect throughout the meal.

Food not as good as it used to be at San Matteo. Extremely loud people at the bar made the whole experience unpleasant as the service staff didn't try to quiet them down. Value for the quality of food is way too low... disappointed.

It's all about the Pizza here, though the other dishes we tried were very good. Service and management were very friendly. Just wish they could do a mild upgrade on the decor...but didn't come for the ambiance, came for the pizza and it Delivered!
