Sandbar Rooftop Reviews
I am so sad to give this place a low rating. Their customer service was so rude and not understanding at all!! I went to New York for my birthday with a few friends which I was so excited for, but unfortunately my friend got severely sick and we had to rush home. I called the place to ask for a refund or to use the deposit for another day and they said no! I find this so unreasonable since she was legit throwing up sick and we had to go home. We also live in Jersey so we had to...read full review

Sandbar Rooftop offers a beautiful view of Manhattan and the Empire State Building, with a cool, beachy vibe. The night view with city lights is excellent, providing a unique opportunity to see downtown and midtown with minimally obstructed views. The bar counter is cute, but seating can be challenging when busy. The ambience is relaxed and comfortable, perfect for social gatherings and dates, especially on a nice, warm evening out. The staff is friendly and professional, though service can sometimes be less attentive. The food and drinks are amazing, with Summer Spritzes and cocktails similar in price to other rooftop bars. Recent visitors enjoyed the small cocktail selection, including a delicious sgroppino that tasted like gelato and a bees knees with a cute honey wand. The atmosphere is low key and cozy, making it a great place for summer afternoons or evening drinks. The space is quite large with many seating options, and the decor is very cute and picture-worthy. While it doesn’t feel like a classic rooftop and the views aren’t the main focus, it remains a pleasant spot to sit back with friends. Coverings help with weather, making it a good place for reunion drinks, though it can sometimes get too hot up there. Overall, it’s a hidden gem in the Fashion District with reasonable prices, ideal for relaxing and enjoying good cocktails and desserts.
