Sant Ambroeus Coffee Bar at Hanley lands a respectable three stars, balancing its stylish ambiance and warm service with a notable hiccup during peak hours.First off, the place exudes style. It’s a chic spot, drawing in a fashionable crowd, and the seating is spot-on for those seeking a touch of sophistication with their coffee experience. However, the friendly service hits a snag during peak times. While the staff maintains a welcoming vibe, the struggle to nail orders correctly when things get busy can be a bit frustrating. It’s a drawback that impacts the overall experience for those seeking a seamless visit. In summary, Sant Ambroeus at Hanley snags three stars. It’s a cool place with friendly faces, but the occasional order mix-up during busy periods might leave you with a dash of inconvenience. A tweak in the efficiency department could easily turn it into a more satisfying coffee haven.

I spent $8 on a latte and it was disgusting. Tasted like it came from a Nespresso. The parfait was OK. Do not go here.

I have often walked by the Sant Ambroeus Coffee Bar on Third Avenue but always had the distinct impression that it was overpriced and seemed to attract a certain clientele that didn’t mind spending more because it limited the kinds of customers who might prefer a cheaper cup of coffee. I was shocked that a large latte cost over $8 and probably should have headed to the door but wondered, is it possible that their coffee would be worth the price? While trying to decide, I checked out the prices of their salads and sandwiches, that actually looked reasonably priced but regrettably, I just ordered the latte and after a few sips, tossed it in a garbage can! In my opinion, their coffee is indeed overpriced but their salads and sandwiches might be worth buying! I might return to sample their other menu items but I really was disappointed with my overpriced latte !

Saint Ambroeus cafe is a charming cozy cafe which I frequent often. I like the coffee, paninis and pastries. Both the manager and the ladies who help are friendly and kind. The music is enjoyable. I can sit for a long time as no one will ask me to leave. Plus there is a clean unisex restroom.

Saint Ambroeus Coffee Bar on the UES is my favorite place to stop for lunch or a mid-afternoon coffee break. Related to the other Saint Ambroeus restaurants, this is the more casual cafe style place with outdoor seating and four tables inside and bar seating at a long table. Tempting Italian paninis with cold cuts, salads, delicious pastries and cookies are available. Wines are offered and assorted coffees made to order. There is a unisex clean restroom. Service is kind and everyone here is pleasant. Even though there are other places to have a bite to eat in this tiny neighborhood, I always make sure to stop here. On Thursday I had a cortado and chocolate vanilla cookies. I brought a few home. I have enjoyed paninis and am partial to the various slices of cakes which are $12 each now. Prices have risen but the high quality remains the same.

Sant Ambroeus is an essential place to grab coffee on the Upper East Side, and this location on 3rd Avenue is my personal favorite! All of the staff here serve their customers with the highest quality of service. My drinks are prepared in a timely manner and the food is warmed to perfection. Additionally, I'm always met with a warm greeting as one of their regular customers. While their coffee is great, I mostly come here for the the Chicchiricci Panini or the Primavera Panini. They are just divine! No other chicken salad sandwhich in the city can compare with the one sold at Sant Ambroeus. The elegant atmosphere speaks to my essence and makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. I highly recommend people come here for some quality coffee and a quick bite to eat. It will not disappoint! :)

Small, boutique patisserrie coffee shop serving delicious food, coffee and drinks. Tried Venezia muffin, iced Sant Ambroeus - both really good. Will come back again to try the desserts.
