Great spot for quality and authentic soba experience. Honestly, the only other time I remember having soba this good, I was in Kyoto. I recommend the curry noodles, but honestly the whole menu is fantastic.
Was actually very disappointed. It seems like whenever a franchise opens up a restaurant in nyc it’s usually not as good for some reason. I was super excited to try them because the one in Japan was great!
We went close to closing time around 7:30pm so maybe that could be why it wasn’t that fresh?

Sanuki Udon is a cafeteria style Udon restaurant, similar to what you would see in a Japanese food court. The udon is assembled very quickly after you order and you can buy additional add-ons like pork katsu or a deep fried egg. I really enjoyed the udon’s texture and the flavor of the broth, but I found the add-ons to be not worth it. I tried the katsu and it was soggy and not seasoned.
