I keep going back to Sardi's pre-theater because I know I will get a very good meal, served expertly and fast. It's the best proximity for so many shows. And of course the atmosphere is fun. Watching the out of towners marvel at the caricatures makes me glad to be a New Yorker.
Thanks to all For the great service and great food, great cannelloni, great onion soup and great apple dessert. I will keep coming back after Theater always ! a New York institution. !
Everyone working there with patron contact were welcoming, warm, understanding, and they even remembered us from the last time we ate there. Service is outstanding, the food is delicious, the menu is not overly extensive - but covers all categories very well with a number of items from which to choose. There is no rush to "eat and get out". Our meals have been served in a timely fashion (and hot has been hot), and you eat at your own pace. You pay for what you get, but...
