I was there for a group dinner in one of the private rooms downstairs. The food was as good as always. The private room service really stood out to me: attentive, knowledgeable...not to mention funny!

Unfortunately had a couple problems with the dining experience, while the food itself was good. Our wait staff was very eager and not paying attention, and would pour our sparkling water into cups with regular water. It seemed as if their goal was to drain the sparkling water bottle as quickly as possible and kept asking us if we wanted to get another. They should have replaced the water bottles they wasted, but they did not. We were trying to share our drinks amongst the 4 of us, but the wait staff was too overbearing filling our cups themselves and this interfered with our group dinner.Secondly, we were seated at one of the high tables in the middle of the room. Patrons waiting at the bar were literally leaning against our dining table while they waited to be seated. Our wait staff didn’t care about this, and it would have been nice if they had said something to the other guests so we didn’t have strangers elbows next to our food. Poor dining experience for a place that sets high expectations.

The weekend brunch is amazing: the menu is shorter comparing to normal dining, but all the dishes we tried were very impressive.Starting with the homemade bread/ scone with olive oil, jam, and cream cheese. I started off with jam and was an amazed by it. What I didn’t know was that the olive oil is even more impressive! So fresh, gentle, and with a decent scent given they infused fruits in it.The asparagus is very nicely baked. And the pasta was such a surprise too - rabbit ragu with slices of peaches. It’s something you wouldn’t normally use in your daily cooking, but rabbit, peaches and pasta go super well together. We were so impressed that we decided to try their affogato last minute. The coffee is legit, and the bitterness and sourness balanced so well with the ice cream.Love all the balanced taste and the attention to details from Scarpetta. Will definitely come back again!

First time to dine here and it did not disappoint. My husband already dined here before and he told me that they have the BEST Spaghetti and I must say their Spaghetti is Life Changing! Not only that, the service was impeccable, everyone was very polite, alert and friendly. Definitely coming back.

We had the worst experience. Not what you would expect from a well known restaurant. I’m not the one to write a review but the experiment we had warranted a review. We had made reservations. We got there exactly at our designated time. We were told by the rude hostess that the table is not ready and to wait by the bar. We were patiently waiting and we were told our table was ready which was by the bar area even though we had made reservations in advance they were trying to seat us by the bar. We refused so they told us to wait so we were patiently waiting and we see 2 parties that came on were being seated in the main dining area. So we went to talk to the manager at this point it was 1/2 hour past our reservations. The rude manager told us that we were given a table which we refused so we will have to wait for a table to open up in the main dining room. We informed him that we’re had been waiting for half hour and we see that people that came after who were “white” were being seated. He didn’t do anything to help us out and we suspected it was due to our skin color. So after waiting for over half hour we’re decided to finally leave since the staff did nothing to accommodate us and were seating people selectively based on skin color that came after us. They didn’t even bother to apologize when we told the hostess we are leaving she just replied sarcastically with simple “ok”. We were very disappointed by the way we were treated by the staff. Can’t believe racism is alive and well in NYC restaurant. On the positive we found amazing fine dining restaurant two doors down and were treated like royalty only by the staff but also the owner himself.

This place is definitely NOT worth the hype. The meal quality, compared to the price that they are charging, is definitely not up to the mark. Also, the staff has no clue about what they are serving. We specifically asked for Vegan options as one of our guests was Vegan. We also checked prior to booking and google lists that the restaurant has Vegan options. We were given a “Vegan Polenta” to start which was recommended by the Server. Right off the bat, it tasted like it had heavy cream. We confirmed with the Server again as He was well aware of the guests dietary restriction and He then confirms there was a “little cream” in the dish. It’s like a Vegetarian ordering a dish with a “little meat” in the dish. Then we ordered still water for the table and we got refills of tap water in our glasses which were still half full with our bottled water. There is no attention to detail at all. This experience was a complete turnoff and spending $500 on this meal was definitely not worth our money. Save your money and go to the Whole Foods down the block. Their buffet has better options and its self service, so you will not mess up your own dinner. I gave it 2 stars for the ambience because the facade looked decent, but their main dining area was not impressive. I would NOT go back. Definitely not worth it.

Food, ambiance, and service all very good. It was expensive for pasta dishes but four of us had different entrees and all were quite good. Restrooms were not conveniently located. Long walk through the hotel lobby to a lower level.

Went with friends, was pretty busy but the service was on point and both the apps and the entrees were fantastic. Recommend the buratta, yellow fin credo and the halibut.

Scarpetta is a solid choice.Great food while not being overly pricey for what it is.Hard not to fill up on the provided bread as their salami bread and spreads are excellent. The shrimp carpaccio and squid ink pasta were my two favorites. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance and interesting decor, although it does get quite busy during peak hours, especially near the bar area. This can make the place feel a bit crowded, but it's not too much of an issue if you don’t mind the hustle and bustle.Have been here several times, one of them we ended up waiting over 45 minutes for a reservation that we already had. The manager eventually dealt with it properly but it should not have happened in the first place. However, all other visits have been smooth so I will mark it up as a fluke.Overall, Scarpetta is worth a visit if you're in the mood for upscale Italian cuisine that’s solid value for money. Just be aware that it might be best to avoid peak times if you’re looking for a quieter dining experience.

Had a fabulous meal here during the holiday season 2023. Ordered multiple shared plates including carrots, burrata, short rib, cacio e pepe, pappardelle, tagliatelle. For three of us it was magnificent and each dish was better than the last. Bread was incredible and service was stellar. (Wish the staff down at Seville knew how to treat customers.) And of course the noise level at Scarpetta is jubilant- It's Italian, you *need* to be heard!

Was my first time for quick lunch and we absolutely loved it! Amazing interior welcomes so much and make feel very settled to enjoy the experience. Thank you to the staff for having great recommendations from the menu! Will definitely be back there to try more dishes
