Noise level was loud and obnoxious, horrible music. And I don't say that because I dislike the genre being played. I love rap. Not a huge fan of trap and they played nothing but trap music the entire time. I probably wouldn't have been so bothered by the music but we were left sitting there for an hour waiting for a small pizza that almost never came. We were brought a peace offereing of two burnt to a crisp slices and our pie that we ordered finally an hour and ten minutes later was placed in a box to go. 100% regret not going to John's!!!!! And we def won't be back!!
Overall, thought it was fine! The pizza wasn't exceptional but it was good for a late night dinner. We dined in and ordered beers and a small Hotboi. Maybe other pizzas are better? The staff were super nice and the vibe was cool!
Pizza was fine but service was awful. We were completely ignored - it took 45 minutes to get one beer.
Busy pizza place, seating arrangement wasnt the best, not enough room to be comfortable and tables werent leveled and we were in a rough tight corner ounned againstthe other table behind us. Beyond that, service was great, food was tasty, and the beer cold and well prepared!
I don't recall what kind of tomatoes they use for their sauce, but this is by far the best sauce I've had on pizza in NYC. The tomatoes had the right amount of sweetness and tangy. If you're with a large group a whole pie will work. Otherwise order by the slice. On Sunday night they were out of a number of types of pizzas as well as some soft drinks. Clearly it was a busy weekend for them. It's tiny and the music is loud, but it's a very fun spot and so glad we were able to go. We will definitely return.
Food was fine (prices are honestly too high to warrant paper plates, but whatever). The main issue was the music — it is egregiously loud, you can't even hear your own thoughts. When I tried to politely ask our waiter if he could turn it down, he rudely interrupted me before I could even finish my question and said no. He was also just rude and insanely inattentive throughout our meal (too busy hanging out and ripping shots with his friends at the table next to us). Barely checked in on us, missed an item we had ordered (probably couldn't hear due to said music!), and the most offensive of all, when we asked for the check, he just dropped the credit card machine at our table and walked away, so we actually couldn't split the check if we wanted to. He never came back to even collect it. Even if the food were outstanding, the service and ambience were such a slap in the face, I'd still never return.
Bad service, dirty bathrooms, we wanted a booth table but they gave us a super small table. We spend like 2 hrs in the restaurant the booth was never used. Pizza is good, lemonade is great. French wine really bad.
Good food! But the place is really cramped. The noise level is also high. Good for carry outs!
The waiters don't take notes when you give them your orders, they just try to commit it all to memory, with the result that they mess up orders or have to be reminded of what you asked for. The hotboi pizza is really good, though.
Firstly, let's talk about the pizza : it was exceptional. my party of two ordered a Margherita and Hotboi, 12" each. These pies made me reminisce about the pies I had when I visited Italy two years ago - they were not quite as life-altering as the pies from Italy but were >> damn good << and I'm glad we made the effort to eat there. My party of two had reservations on a Saturday afternoon and were seated relatively promptly despite the fact the place is a mad-house and there was a large birthday party in the back. We had to work our way up to the host stand where there appeared to be no host/hostess stationed there and flag someone down, but was not a huge deal. Despite the fact the place was 'at capacity', we placed our orders and were served promptly. As we left and had to basically jostle our way out of the restaurant, as the line for slices was at a minimum probably 20-30 deep, I said to my friend, "that went remarkably smoothly all things considered!" The only thing I wish for would be a basic pepperoni option that was not "hot". While the Hotboi was 'spicy', it was not overly 'hot' but the mild bitterness of the sliced jalepenos made them a slight distraction. I suppose we could have ordered the pie without the jalepenos, but I wanted to order each pie they way they were intended by the restaurant. Overall a nice experience considering how busy the place was and excellent food and I would recommend.

Despite having a reservation, we were not offered a standard table. We were offered a bar, a table where one seat had no back, a dirty high top, and then another high top wedged in the corner that also hadn't been cleaned. Why did I bother making a reservation?
Their hot boi pizza is very good. Their original was no better than the average good slice shop. Was expecting a crispy bottom but it was very soggy, like a Neapolitan style. Service was non-existent, with server talking to a co-worker for quite some time while we were trying to get her attention. I ultimately had to walk over to her to get a check. Worst of all, front door open and the place was freezing cold, even in the back of the venue. It was 30 degrees outside.
The pizza was amazing. Great service. Friendly and immediate attention, my family loved it. Definitely going back.
The place had a cool vibe and good music. The Caesar salad was pretty good as an app. The pesto vodka slices were pretty soggy but the flavor was nice. The jalapeño hot honey slice was pretty yummy but had too many jalapeños on it IMO. Would go back to try the Sicilian - I was eyeing other people's and it looked good.
The pizza was great and so was the service! The atmosphere was very nice as well. 10/10 experience.
