Scarr’s? More like Scare’s.

We went to Scarr’s as a family, including two young girls, excited to try their pizza. It wasn’t a busy time—no line, no crowd—so we asked if we could sit at the tables in the back of the place. We were told yes.

We ordered pizza by slices and a couple of drinks to cool off. A staff member then approached us and said that because our order was “too small,” we technically couldn’t use the tables—but since the place was empty, it would be fine this time. Before our order was even ready, a second staff member (accompanied by the first one) came over and questioned us again, asking if we had ordered anything else, in a way that felt aggressive and completely unnecessary—especially with two kids sitting at the table.

At that point, we decided to leave. We ended up eating our pizza on the sidewalk.

To top it all off: the pizza just isn’t worth it. Overhyped and underwhelming.
We left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Definitely not going back—and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, especially families.

Honestly quite underwhelmed, especially for a NYC local. Waites about 45 mins outside on line (they only had 1 register up and running). Pizza was just okay, nothing spectacular for the wait. Definitely better spots throughout the city.

Good nice

A great slice without gimmicks. It's not the most expensive, or fancy, or Instagram worthy. It's a quality slice with fresh ingredients you can taste. Just go at a less busier hour and it's worth a small wait in line.

Fire everyone, hire new people and please train them in hospitality...how to serve tables...please...I've never seen people so miserable and horrible at their job

We love loved love the hotboi signature - you must be a fan of savory spicy and sweet wrapped up in one. The crust was delicious and had a unique taste. The vibe was energetic there are two video game machines - music was a little loud and they had great cocktail selections. Garden salad was extremely fresh!

We made a reservation for 6 people. They took us to a back area. It was a nice little spot. We ordered a large pepperoni and a small white. The pepperoni was really good. Nice firm undercarriage and the beef pepperoni was good. My personal favorite was the white pie. White sauce with four different cheeses was amazing. That ricotta made it creamy and it was all amazing.

It was just okay. I selected this restaurant while visiting NYC because I read that they had the best pizza.

Thanks to ChatGPT, we ended up here. No regrets! Unforgettable experience, amazing vibe, and incredibly friendly people!!!

Amazing that they take reservations—and they have beer and wine. It's fun to grab a slice on the street, but this is a thoughtful alternative.

Best pizza I have ever eaten!!! Make a reservation for a table and you can skip the long lines.

I've finally done it and found truly awful pizza in Manhattan. Ordered a large Margarita pizza - should be a slam dunk. Cold, flavorless, minimal ingredients - mostly just cold tough crust with nothing. This place is all about the buzz, hype and location. If you want to be seen, this is your spot; if you want good pizza and friendly engaging service, keep looking.
