3 thick asparagus shoots, 3 slices of cold cut ham, one or two chunks of purple potato = $38. I was in shock with how measly the portions were. The quality was neither good nor bad, but the quantity was outrageous. If I hadn’t been on a date I would’ve made a stink. $18-22 cocktails—I couldn’t in my wildest dreams fathom paying that…even in Manhattan. The servers were nice, and the ambiance was warm and friendly.A for Ambiance and ServiceF for Food and Value

A real find in the financial district. A place with real NY atmosphere and outstanding Austrian inspired food which is different and very delicious. Highly recommended and the service was great as well

Came here for lunch on a Monday (around 1pm) and was able to walk in without needing reservation. We got the schnitzel (tried pork and chicken) and also the apple schtrudel, they were all delicious! The schnitzels also came with 3 sides, so it was a good amount of food even if you are very hungry. I also loved the vibe of this space. I will definitely be back for dinner!

We love this place. Everything was great except the usual star of the show was a little off - the two Wiener Schnitzels were a little soggy. It's never happened before but they have to make sure they deliver the star dish in its prime.

Great experience. The food was terrific. The spaetzle was a bit salty, but the schnitzel was moist and delish. A large group was really loud, but I'm sure it was not a regular occurrence. Overall... I will go back!

Came here twice in two weeks, both for work dinners. I love the ambience, it's so homey. Service is also very attentive. Had schnitzel first time then burger. Schnitzel was good but made me realize I don't think I have the palette for Austrian good. Switched to burger the second time and it was a winner. Also, Brussel sprouts. Get them. Trust me

We had dinner during Restaurant Week; my wife had the salad first course and the pork schnitzel, I had the broccolini and the spaetzle. We both had the apple strudel dessert. I also started out with a margarita. Everything was excellent. The crowd was young (we are in our 70's) and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I'm not sure RW is the bargain it was originally intended to be, the total including the mandatory 20% tip was $143. But at least it was three excellent courses and friendly service. We will be back.

This is one of those places I hate to give a great review because I love it so much and it is my secret place. I go about once a month when I am in the city for the Schnitzel. It is a very modest "typisch" Austrian experience with long wooden tables and simple yet friendly service. The food is homey and delicious, not overly plated. If you like potato salad, spätzle, apfel strudel and great beer then come here. But I better still be able to get a reservation when I am in town! :-)

What a disappointment! Went there during restaurant week and had the 3 course dinner. The serving sizes were cut down to the point where it is embarrassing - the Schnitzel is roughly half the size and the Apple Strudel was miniscule.Just because someone opts for the restaurant week special does not mean they should be deprived of a full serving, especially when you tag on 20 % tip by default. The Schnitzel is just ok, certainly not worth the $ 32 price tag for pork/chicken.And then the beer. $9 for a beer which is served in a 12 oz bottle rather than from the tap makes you regret your order.Well, lesson learned - not going back.
