The place itself was really nice — cozy, stylish, and comfortable even though it’s not that big. I went for a Brazilian drink party, and the vibe was fun, but the caipirinha was honestly disappointing. It didn’t taste like a real caipirinha at all and wasn’t sweet. The DJ also kept playing the same songs over and over. Still, it was a beautiful party overall, just not the best experience with the drinks.
Large spacious dance venue. El Colmado hosts fun monthly traditional bachata socials worth the trip. The club is entirely underground with great air-conditioning albeit limited ventilation. The bar spans the length of the space and there is seating all along another wall with a couple of tables by the entrance.
The entryway at the end of the staircase is a bit narrow, and further blocked by the check-in/payment booth. Not sure if this poses an inconvenience...

Don't walk fast or you will pass it. Wonderful use of basement space. Definitely cool lounge atmosphere. The Midtown burger was fantastic, and the bar staff was very accommodating. Don't look for separate restroom facilities, this place is non-gender. Great space!
