The food was quite good, with rich, hearty dishes that were satisfying overall. However, I would suggest expanding the selection of seltzers and sparkling water, especially considering how heavy the food can be — a crisp, refreshing beverage option would be a great complement.
It would also be nice to see some classic sides like potato salad or macaroni salad offered. They’d pair well with the mains and add a touch of comfort-food nostalgia.
The service was very good — the staff was friendly and attentive, which made for a pleasant dining experience.
The atmosphere was fair, though I found the music (mostly reggaeton and trap) a bit loud and one-dimensional. Switching up the playlist to include a broader mix of genres could help create a more balanced vibe, especially in a diverse neighborhood like Hell’s Kitchen.
Overall, it was a good experience with solid food and welcoming service, with just a few tweaks that could elevate it even further.
Thank you.
The rice and beans are good, but the Pernil was so bad after one bite I had to throw it away. Wouldn’t recommend to give the Pernil to a human being or even a dog.
Great place to grab and go Dominican food. Prices are average. There is a very small seating area for dining and some outdoor seating. This is one of my go to places when I’m around Hell’s Kitchen.
The food on the line was old and not appealing. That should’ve been my warning but I gave it a chance still. Customer service was bad, the guy who took my order seemed to be bothered by something and really threw off my experience. I ordered the pork chop with rice and beans, it was meh. Dominican food is known to be packed with flavor, not the case here. Sorry seguidilla, you’ve been crossed off my list.
Order chicken stew with rice and beans, the chicken seemed undercooked which baffled me. Order through take out, maybe they give out the food no one wants to deliveries.
I liked the food very much but would have liked to have better service. I know it is more a take out place than eat in, still they should be more amicable. I have been there twice don’t know if I will return because of the service and there’s another Spanish food restaurant just 3 doors down.
There were a couple times I’ve called for a delivery and went there to order. They were very unprofessional not paying attention to my order when I went there. I thought maybe I’ll give them another chance. This time I called the person that was taking my order was distracted. Then leaving phone off hook and I had to wait a couple of minutes until I finally gave them my order and they never showed up with my order!! This is by far the worst Spanish restaurant I have dealt with since living here in New York never again!!
Few portions. And if they put an extra cheese or mangu chin on you, they take it out in front of you without any problem.

I live on the Upper West Side and was so excited when I saw your store opening a few years ago. I am Dominican, and there are few spots with our sazón around. My first purchase was a chimi a couple of years ago. Did not like it. I want my chimi old school. I don’t like cheese and bacon on my chimi. I took a while to do my second order, but I did since you added a few more Dominican dishes. I ordered pernil and a few other things; the meat was salty, and the beans and rice were not good (Beans are supposed to be creamy, not watery). Even though I got burned two times, I STILL gave you another chance because tu ere de los mío. I ordered a chimi again since I noticed cheese and bacon were not part of it. Please tell me how I get a thin-dry-overcooked patty, mayo, and LETTUCE on a roll. If you are Dominican you know that’s insulting for a chimi. I was really hoping you will get your act together but you guys need a new chef or something since it’s not working out. Clearly I am not the only one that feels that way.

I ordered plantain rice and beans. The plantain was a burnt soggy mess. Not fit to eat. The beans were watery. More water than beans and the rice had a piece of hair in it. I noticed that when I was almost finished with the rice. It made me nauseous ?. Wish I had taken photos before I dumped it into the trash. Will never order from this establishment again.

Horrible, don't waste your money. Unseasoned beans and completely crushed rice.
I went to buy cupcakes and I bought 4 of each and they were horrible and the customer service is terrible.
