Why all the hype? Hot chocolate was just a warm glass of syrup, frozen hot chocolate had no taste whatsoever and the chocolate blackout cake was as dry as Post Malone's bath mat. Music was super loud, food was overpriced and lousy, service was pretty good. I really wanted to love this place but definitely will not be returning.

Every time I go to the city with my niece and nephew it’s become a Christmas/new year tradition to first go to Serendipity. The experience was phenomenal from start to finish. We were greeted at the door by the manager Leo, he also stopped by to check in and made sure we were happy with the experience. We made reservations and had zero wait time and were escorted straight to our table. I recommend going before 12pm during the holidays it gets packed the later in the afternoon it is. Will definitely return.

Overly priced food and I had to deal with an extremely rude worker who was flirting with my husband. I think her name was Zali. Appalling behavior for a customer to have to deal with.
As for the response I highly doubt anything will be done I’ve talked with several friends who have gone here and have all dealt with a similar experience with what seems to be the same girl with curly hair. Lost my business entirely.

Went here for the experience but left impressed with the food and the service. Randy, our waiter was amazing and personable. I’m not much of a sweets type of person, I mainly visited for my daughters but was blown away how good the frozen hot chocolate was. Not too sweet and perfect amount of chocolate!

Thank you for making my Serendipity movie dream come true. This tucked away, adorably whimsical spot hit our sweet spot! We had a frozen white hot chocolate which made a grand entrance pilled high with whipped cream. I kept our souvenir straw and relished under the rainbow of antique, stained glass lamps. The esthetic of the shop was so fanciful, it made me feel like a little girl again.

Had the best time at dinner for our first night in town, during our kids’ first trip to NYC. Black bean burger was excellent, and of course everyone loved the frozen hot chocolate. Our server Randy was so wonderful and took great care of us - thank you for the excellent hospitality!

As most of the reviews already have stated, the food here is not anything to write home about (considering the pricing especially). I found the hot dog and fries were very salty and underwhelming. However, the frozen hot chocolate was indeed tasty and it’s clear why Serendipity is known for them! We tried both the red velvet (holiday menu) and the original. Overall very iconic spot with a really unique interior! Come for the frozen hot chocolates and vibes, not the food! Also service was decent, though at some point it felt like we were being rushed out despite it being emptier at that moment.
