Great - but closed, permanently. Shake Shack in Penn Station's last day was today, Monday, January 25th, 2021. I spoke with a number of staff there this evening, who told me they are all being reassigned to other 'shacks', so nobody is losing their job, but that the excellent Penn Station location is closing permanently, tonight at 10.

Great service, excellent food. No place to sit or eat. Had to eat a few feet away from the store.

Walked up to the register, I was looked at and ignored, and from there I was not even acknowledged. AT ALL. I finally said “are you guys going to acknowledge me” and that’s when they said “give me one second”.I don’t care of you are busy I am giving a portion of my earnings to fund the store. A simple “We will be right with you “ would’ve been great. But instead I walked right out and took my business elsewhere.

Ordered the new spicey chicken sandwich meal. So small I thought it was a kids meal.

Stopped by to grab something to eat on the train but I literally had 8 min left until my train left. The cashier in the front assured me I would get my meal on time. 2 mins before the time of my train departure, my meal is still not ready yet. Before I could even asked, the front cashier and the guy moving orders back ran to the back and rushed my meal out. Thanks to both of them, I caught my train right before it closed the door. To the crew who worked the afternoon shift today, I appreciate you guys. Thank you sooooo much!

5 employees on site 1 taking the orders, 2 making the food and 2 walking around. Two times in a row I missed my train because they couldn't be bothered to pretend they cared about the customers. I don't think you need 10 minutes to give out a burger when I am the only customer in the store. I am sorry and I feel awful for everyone who is affected by the current situation, but these particular people do not care. I am aware that they don't make a lot of money but don't forget that you depend on your customers returning to stay open and continue doing business.

The spicy chicken sandwich is way too spicy! My lips are burning beneath my mask. Where are you supposed to eat after you take out from this place anyway? You can't eat in the restaurant and you can't eat at the waiting areas, I went outside for some peace and quiet, good thing the homeless guy decided to walk on by. Chick-fil-A is still the best for spicy chicken sandwiches.

I simply tried to get a large lemonade, paid for it, and watched a cup of ice sit on the counter while the manager and three employees Sat around laughing it up no one could be bothered to get my drink and I had to leave to make my train thanks for nothing, this is customer service????

This place never fails to impress. They serve fantastic food for reasonable pricing, there is no waiting time even when the place is full.
