Stopped by to grab something to eat on the train but I literally had 8 min left until my train left. The cashier in the front assured me I would get my meal on time. 2 mins before the time of my train departure, my meal is still not ready yet. 5 employees on site 1 taking the orders, 2 making the food and 2 walking around. Two times in a row I missed my train because they couldn't be bothered to pretend they cared about the customers. I don't think you need 10 minutes to give out a burger when I am the only customer in the store. Great - but closed, permanently. Shake Shack in Penn Station's last day was today, Monday, January 25th, 2021. I spoke with a number of staff there this evening, who told me they are all being reassigned to other 'shacks', so nobody is losing their job, but that the excellent Penn Station location is closing permanently, tonight at 10.
