Didn’t visit but ordered the food to hotel room via UberEats. The food was lifechanging and I am not exaggerating. Highly recommend the snow crab and potatoes with garlic butter.

When our food came it looked so good. My friend and I were excited. But sadly the food had no taste. It was bland. The only thing that tasted somewhat okay was the crab legs. However, it wasn't that great. The service was great and the staff was great.

Highly recommend!! We came with a party of 6 on a Saturday evening. They got us right in. We did have a small issue with our table and let them know, and the staff was overly accommodating.
Once we worked out the table issue, we got two large seafood boil combos and some drinks. Their portions are very generous. The seafood was great quality and size. The crab legs were large and had plenty of meat. We also loved the large mussels they used.
We ordered the garlic butter and the shaking cajun seasoning for the boils. Both of the flavors we ordered were delicious and flavorful. I believe the shaking crab seasoning did have more flavor even though they were both great.

I found Shaking Crab on Uber Eats and OMG!!! I’m so glad I did. Everything is insanely delicious, the Cajun sauce wow so much flavor. I’m obsessed. I’m definitely going to visit them at the restaurant!

First time here and will not be my last, the seasoning of seafood boil was delicious, I got the medium spice, will up the notch up next time because I love spicy. The food seafood boil came out pippin hot! Ordered the spicy calamari, it wasnt spicy but that was ok. The drinks were good, first i ordered the Hennessy punch, it was ok, then ordered the margaritas, those were better, meaning more strong. The sodas are not watered down. The staff was really nice and the atmosphere and music was good. I came on a gloomy rainy Sunday late afternoon and this place lifted my spirits up.

I was very disappointed in the quality of the food, seasoning, sauce. Just extremely bland. The food tasted like when you go to a fish market and you get steamed food and though that can be good that's not what you expect when you go to shaking crab. The butter and garlic sauce was very thin and just had butter and garlic And it was very oily, I don't even think it was real butter. We had to ask for seasoning. But it wasn't the same. at all. Also they kept omitting items out of our food When we dined in. And, We had a to go order and we paid for eggs and noodles and when we got home we found out it wasn't there. So I'm going to give shake and crab another go but it will have to be in Brooklyn. Because the one that was in Harlem has permanently closed and when I tell you, that's sauce? superb! If the owner or manager is reading this please go back to the original. I understand that you are probably mostly around white people and they like to complain about things being too spicy but you're going to lose business that way. The people that like your food will come. But if you change what you're known for. It's ultimately going to be your demise.

My daughter and I have not been to shaking Crab for some time. So my taste buds was excited to have the garlic and butter sauce pre-COVID. Well, everything has changed. Not only was the sauce not the same, the food was very bland and I had to ask for seasoning. They straight up just put garlic and butter on our food. Not only that there were a few times where we had to ask for stuff that was missing like eggs, broccoli. We decided that we were going to get a to-go and when we got home my other daughter saw that there was no noodles and eggs that we had paid for. So not only will I not ever go back to this one particular restaurant I don't think I will visit any of them because the quality of the food has gone down so much. What happened?

Ordered take out. Everything was flavorful. Unfortunately I couldn’t eat the shrimp since they were not cleaned. There was poop in each one. I get extremely sick if I eat unclean shrimp. Unfortunately that was a waste of money. Crab and lobster was okay. Portion size could be more for the price being paid for the boils.
