I went there for a dinner on casual day. My server Yuki was really friendly and welcoming, made me feel accompanied, and did a great job on explaining the ingredients. And the ambiance is very warm, and I love their scented candles.
I loved my experience at shinn west and certainly will be coming back. The omakase set was a total of 13 courses and left me so satisfied, each with amazing flavor. Our server Queena made sure we had a great time and gave great sake recommendations.
This place is great for some omakasees but the music is… AWFUL!!!!!!! It’s so bad it almost ruins the experience. It’s not even like jazz or something it’s like annoying pop music (think pitbull or one direction). I can’t express how upset the music made me. I would get lost in the omakasees piece and then instantly be brought back to the annoying music. I asked if they could change it to like jazz or something because I thought that’d be a middle ground we could agree...
