Just what it says on the label - literally a bar in the shoe department in the basement of Nordstrom. Drinks are great, service is above and beyond what you’d expect from something that was presumably an afterthought when designing a department store, and you sure can’t beat the people watching as the shoe shoppers clamor around you. The constant PA announcements can be a bit much after a while, particularly when it seems like a pretty straightforward take a number system...
We couldn’t visit NYC without stopping by to see our favorite bartender, Karen (not Karen) at the Shoe Bar in Nordstrom. She’s an absolute gem—lovely, friendly, and a true ambassador for Nordstrom. And on top of all that, she mixes a hell of a drink! It's been such a pleasure knowing her for over 4 years.
Jo is a treat. She made best margaritas we have ever had in our life. We stumbled on this and stayed here for 2 hours and had so many drinks we may have to nap. While looking through glorious RACKS of beautiful shoes.
