Food was not bad. Loved the wings. Ramen was good but not remarkable. The portions are a bit small so it’s a good place to go if you’re not very hungry or don’t eat a lot.

Great atmosphere. Solid service although they encourage you to order and pay through an app, not a big fan of that. Duck ramen was okay; the duck was great but the broth was barely hot, became lukewarm within a couple minutes…

Food was excellent. I spent a bit more to try everything. Everything is fresh and cooked to order. Drinks were good. Ramen and Chicken wings (done as if they were karaage) were excellent and worth having again.

Shuya has very good ramen (specifically I have sampled the wagyu ramen, the ship ramen and shoyu), and the tebasaki chicken wings were also very good!

Not matching its price - broth is mediocre and the calm tastes like rubber. Not recommend

Best Ramen I’ve had in NYC! Quality is top notch - I have yet to find a Ramen broth this rich in the city! Service very friendly as well.

Small very intimate space. Food is good. The wagu beef dish is delish. I had the sake which completed the meal with sweet clean touch of asian ramen night.

Best ramen restaurant in the city.
The simplicity of the menu suggests that they are focused on curating well prepped and fresh/high quality ingredients for the customers.

Tebasaki is fried to perfection with the slightly sweet and savory sauce. The soy sauce they make is simply amazing! It’s even better than a lot of omakase spots. It makes their temaki extremely special and unique. Chutoro being my favorite.

Duck tsukemen is my personal favorite. Thick bouncy noodles, duck with not much of the “gaminess” and great texture, and most importantly, the dipping broth. I could drown in it.

Beautiful mix of intimate space and handmade bowls and plates makes this place so passionate and personable.

Service is warm and friendly. Love this spot!

Absolutely baffled by the high reviews. I was so disappointed — slow service, high prices, a few pieces of meat with noodles, and completely inedible food. Most of the duck had a thick tendon (as shown in my photos). Even the one slice that looked fine had tendon at the edge if you look closely. The broth was watery, nothing like the flavorful, rich tsukemen broth you’d expect.

After spitting out several pieces of meat, I left most of the noodles untouched and showed the server the photos. I politely asked to pay only for the appetizer and leave. They came back offering just a $6 discount on a $34 bill. Unbelievable. This place seriously needs a crash course in customer service and food quality.
