The service is pretty good. However, I do hope they can build a glass btw the counter and the kitchen. Open kitchen is not ideal for a lot of stir-frying work. The dining area smells like cooking oil.

Ridiculously good noodles. Went with Tofu and minced pork noodle, couldn’t be happier with everything. Just enough spice, nice flavor, and the dry mix noodles are very silky. Highly recommend!

The chicken and chilli is insanely good, and very spicy, which is what I like. I normally go to Kuo, a couple of doors down on John Street. But Kuo is very small and the line for a table can be very long at peak times. Silky is a great alternative.

I ordered the pork and bamboo over rice .
For nearly $20, it was 95% vegetables and almost no pork. Basically every fork full was all celery and peppers ! On top of that the flavor was , meh ! So much so that i just ate half of it and then threw it in the trash
This eatery is in a neighborhood full of serious heavy hitters, Joe's Pizza, 7th St. Burgers, Apollo Bagels etc.. I hope they get their act together so they can stay afloat.

Got number 11. It was all celery, maybe 2 thin smiles of beef for 20 dollars. Horrible. There wasn’t even much noodle. After I ate everything else, there was still half bowl of celery, and I was eating celery with the rest of the meal.

Silky Kitchen is a hidden gem that brings a refreshing twist to modern Asian cuisine. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted by a stylish, sleek interior that blends industrial design with cozy touches. The atmosphere is lively but not overly loud, making it a perfect spot for both intimate dinners and group gatherings.

We started with the crispy dumplings filled with savory pork and vegetables, and they were absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. Next, we had the silk chili shrimp, which was one of the standout dishes. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, with a spicy and tangy sauce that had the right amount of heat and sweetness. We also tried the stir-fried noodles, which were packed with flavor, full of fresh vegetables, and had just the right amount of wok char.

For the main course, I had the braised short ribs, and it was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The sauce was rich and flavorful, and the dish was accompanied by fragrant jasmine rice. My dining partner had the black pepper chicken, which was spicy, savory, and absolutely satisfying.

The drink menu is a great complement to the food, with a selection of craft cocktails and creative twists on classic drinks. The staff at Silky Kitchen were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.

Overall, Silky Kitchen offers a great combination of delicious food, a modern atmosphere, and fantastic service. Whether you’re in the mood for a casual meal or something more special, this place ticks all the boxes. I’ll definitely be coming back!

My taste buds left me after a bowl of “Hunan Spicy” noodle!! The real deal for spicy lovers looking for challenges, but do come here with iced milk tea to hose down the fire hazard 👄 (unless you are from Hunan)💯🌶️🔥☄️
