I found a wire in the Moroccan lamb meatballs while I was finishing my lunch a couple of weeks ago. I stopped by and let the staff know, a manager told me he’d get in contact with me but still haven’t heard back. Disappointed and grossed out.

I was away for a couple of weeks and was shocked to discover that in that time the AC had not been repaired. The staff is amazing and I am concerned about their wellbeing. How are the chefs and the staff supposed to work under those conditions?
Please please please address this issue! Fix the AC! Thank you.

The best part of this place is the staff. They’re all so so sweet and helpful. Unfortunately I won’t be returning anytime soon the conditions inside are awful. It’s so evil to force your employees to work through a summer with 90 degree days consistently with no AC. They deserve better!!
Elise was very welcoming and informative on my choice of food and coffee. Thank you so much

Nice flavours for the turkey and cheddar sandwich. But really small for the price. $7 for not even a decently sized half sandwich… Pretty steep. Also matcha lemonade was kinda gross. Im sure their other drinks are better
I used to love Smile to Go for their great foods and sweet workers, but I avoid it now for the lack of A/C and ventilation. This has been potentially the hottest summer we’ve had, and the temperature in Smile is close to insufferable. Those poor workers, that feels illegal. I hope they fix it soon and take care of their employees.

Usually love coming in here. But there’s been no AC for weeks. It’s unbearable with all the heat from the kitchen. They’ve been leaving the door open which helps. But now there’s flies. Don’t think I’ll come back until they can cool things down.

Love, love, LOVE the employees that work here and the service they provide! However, I've been refusing to come in as of late because of the poor working conditions provided for them: no AC, despite multiple complaints to the city government? Breaks few and far between? Employees suffering from overheating, heat stroke, and more? No thank you. I won't be supporting that.

Are the salmon sizes inconsistent or toooo tiny now … for almost $20…
Ordered side order of toast and they gave me one piece. I’m 68 and never have I ordered toast and gotten one piece. Then the discourteous employee reponded to my complaint with “Have you ever gotten two pieces before”? Avoid this Lex. Ave. and 23 St. location at all costs!

Salmon lunch is so damn good!
Delicious, simple, unfussy food. A real treat to find this. Sweet little space next door to BDDW/M Crow. Do both and leave happy.

Best muffin in New York?! The banana quinoa one… also incredible market sides for a lunch plate. Takeout only, no seating.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible, there are stairs.

What's the deal with these to-go coffee lids? Unsippable without spilling. I like the Smile to go but honestly, I've had to stop frequenting because I come out covered in coffee drips.
why is this listed as black owned?
