Great dining experience from the super friendly bar man who was truly excellent and so friendly. Our waiter was brilliant, great service, friendly, fun and attentive. One of NYC's best steakhouses
Our waitstaff was outstanding as was the food. I put in open table that we were celebrating my fiancee's birthday but it was never acknowledged, which was disappointing. The only other thing I noticed given we've eaten at S&W before, was that the NY location didn't have the 10 layer chocolate cake. We were looking forward to it, but the substitute was still quite good.
Eating here is to enjoy the quintessential New York experience. The vibe is much better at lunch where the locals meet to converse, follow the stock market, and keep the "Mad Men" experience alive. Dinner is great, but far more touristy. \n\nThe food is extraordinary, even if you don't care for red meat. I love the pork chop and The Wedge. You may need to bring two credit cards to pay the bill, but it's worth it for the atmosphere alone.
