Loved the grilled fish curry. The curry is coconut heavy but the heat isn’t lost (like masamam). Generous portions and fresh.

The curry is pretty good but not amazing. The reason I can't rate higher than three stars is that the rice was poor -- kind of textureless and mushy, probably not high-quality -- and the fish/chicken didn't feel like a quality cut of meat either.
That being said, the portion is quite large. And the curry sauce is tasty, although I'm no expert in Singaporean curry (this is my first time).

This is one of the options in the Urban Hawker food court. They had many Singaporean dishes to try. I tried the chicken culet curry which was really good chicken and is a lot of food.

Excellent Singaporean restaurant inside Urban Hawker. I got the chicken cutlet curry rice and it was fantastic; highly recommend. I also tried the lychee drink, and while it was good, it was not carbonated and I really feel it would benefit from being so.

My 4th visit to the Urban Hawker led me to this stall in which I've had my eye on the Hainanese Fish and Chips for some time so as an excuse to do a review of this place, this was the opportunity. I would go on my mini critique on how paying $20 for Fish and Chips is wild, well it does come with cole slaw but i don't care much for it so i completely ignored it...anyway like all of the other stalls I have visited here, the food definitely delivers in taste. Fries were nice and crispy, that semi crunchy texture that delights my taste buds and the fish, I'm not sure which one it is but it's a thick one and it is cooked and breaded so well, just melts in your mouth with the texture.
I shouldn't complain about the prices here in the Hawker because the food hasn't missed as of yet and I wouldn't want it to because I want this food court to thrive. Another banger from the Urban Hawker, I recommend it.

Got the #1 Set (Chicken Cutlet over curry rice) which was $19 incl. tax. Delicious and filling. Umami blast. Contains cabbage and carrot and cherry tomato too.

Man that fish and chips. Should I come back for that again or try something else? The slaw that comes with is great too. Perfect crisp yet still soft - both chips and fish

First off, this food hall was fully of some many exciting vendors. It was hard to choose a place to eat - they all looked amazing but Smokin’ Joe won me over with the aroma of curry. The fish cutlet and curry rice was fantastic - savory and dense in flavor yet light. Highly recommend.Cons: it’s a busy food hall so finding seating is a ten minute activity, and I wish this dish was $15 instead of $19. Most dishes in this food hall are around $18
Vegetarian options: They have a vegan cutlet thing option, didn’t have so don’t know how good

I got the fish and chips. Fried fish was folded and soggy on the inside fold. The coleslaw was soggy and limp. Not the best fish and chips in town….

I asked twice what kind of fish was in the 'grilled fish w/ curry' as there's no indication of provenance on the menu and twice was told it was "Black Sea Bass". After receiving the item it was immediately clear that wasn't the case but I was hungry and starting eating, googling more about the item concurrently. Turns out they use Swai - a cheap catfish - and clearly very much not Back Sea Bass. I approached the proprietors about the obfuscation and was told "that's what we were told" without the slightest hint of an apology or remorse. When I mentioned how disappointed I was by the the lie (I'm allergic to the vast majority of catfish) I was told "what do you want us to do?". That's definitely not how one should run a restaurant.

Ok 1, I loved the little strip food court. Amazing. 2. So many restaurants to choose from and everything looked sooo good but my eye was caught on the curry chicken cutlet with egg. I've never been a fan of curry... but this curry mixed with the amazing mouth watering cutlet was to die for. I could literally eat it every day. Loved it so much in there. Can't wait to go back!
