I was really debating on doing this and I get this was on a busy day...My reservation was at 9pm. It took us 20 minutes to get checked in. Then got seated another 10 minutes later. Server eventually came and took our order. Here's where it goes downhill. One app came on its own. The both of our entrees...waited over 20 minutes for our drinks. The app that I ordered finally comes 10 minutes after I asked about and the server didn't even know that I never received it. On top of that, another dish I ordered that I wanted before my entree comes when I'm just about finished. The only thing really saving them right now is their food. I honestly won't be back anytime soon. It was just a disappointing experience.
Unfortunately, this was one of the worst service experiences I've had in a long time. And what food we did get was mediocre. We were seated promptly. I had to flag down the waiter to take our order. We ordered a couple of drinks, edamame, a few grilled items, and the deluxe sushi spoons. The edamame arrived after 10 minutes, so OK. The grilled items took another 30 minutes or so. All were luke warm and not very tasty. Things proceeded downhill from there. After another 30 minutes I asked the waiter to check on the sushi spoons. He replied, "Almost ready". After 15 minutes more I had to ask him if the order was about ready, OK, but otherwise take it off and bring the check. Again, "Just about ready." 10 more minutes passed. I asked the waiter for the check. The manager came by, and another "Just about" - nope, just the check. Took a while, then the check came - not itemized, and charging for the sushi. Back it went, for a final revision. Oh, and the waiter never offered more drinks or water. Overall, this place seems not ready for prime time service, or they were very understaffed. Lots of better options in NYC, my friends.
Ordered grill platter and it was served very COLD, the stone plate was cold, the grill meat was hard and dry. We could not enjoy it at all! The table we sat in was in the area with cold air blowing from the ceiling, For a very cold night that the restaurant was not warm and cozy, we did not enjoy our stay and the meal at all.
The food was really good. The tempura tasted good, especially the pumpkin and sweet potato. The chicken skewers were good, and the dessert was good.

We visited this restaurant during restaurant week. The food was pretty good, but the service was so bad. One of the waiters fell the udon soup on my colleague's shirt and coat. They didn't say anything or kind of show sorry and still charged 22% tips since we are group of 6. If you don't know how to serve, you should not charge that high tips when you had bad services. Tips is ridiculous and service is not professional, but food is recommended
We tried the restaurant week menu and everything was delicious. We ate early so the place was quiet. It was quite noisy by the time we left as the place was packed. Service was excellent. The wait staff explained to us what was being served each time food was brought to us. They also were prompt in refill out teapots with hot water. I would definitely return.
Fantastic experience. Everything we ordered was super and delicious. Staff was kind, happy and attentive. Highly recommend
Good service mediocre food quality especially the sushi, nothing special just bland average quality semi fresh.
Very good food and service. Amazing drinks Even though friend was late, they gave me a table
This former soba totto has shown steady improvement last one year after some rough post covid years when quality deteriorated from its pre covid days...i guess change in management is helping...

To food was okay. Except our server was extremely rude. They are an inkind restaurant, i had also gotten a coupon from their own website to use with inkind. Except the server wouldnt let us use it saying there's a technical issue. I tried to show her the restaurant specific coupon, she just pulled the receipt out of my hand to speak to my husband instead. It was so rude and condescending. And then after giving her my card to pay, she took the bill over to my husband to sign. Just unacceptable behavior all around like we are living in the 1800s. Never going here again. They also took a mandatory 22% for service because we were 7. Cant believe they charged this much for such terrible hospitality. There was also no manager who will handle the situation.
The hype is real! Their soba noodles had a perfect chewy texture and their sauce was very flavorful. The Green Basket was def a hidden gem and must try-their dip was soo good (chili garlic crispy with pork bits). Their service was great and it was very clean and spacious inside. Would def come again.

Our night in bullets $9 “10 oz” Asahi Draft Served old tuna for my maguro nigiri as evidenced from the brown edges of fish Negitoro had an old fishy taste Yes, Sunday at an izakaya is a crap shoot sometimes for “fresh fish”. However, anyone worth their salt and is serving/making sushi knows not to serve from a browning saku block 🤢 And no, it was not tataki Yakitori was avg Service was slow More to say but will leave it out. If you still wanna eat here after this review, you are a brave brave person.
