The food was very delicious and our server was really kind and helpful when we had questions about the menu. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming. I highly recommend this location!
Such a delicious meal that was the epitome of good paella. Well-flavored, balanced, filling and with the perfect amount of Socarrat ( caramelized rice crust). The desserts ( cheesecake and chocolate mousse were divine, light and airy). The service was attentive and courteous. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be back.
Top notch service and exceptional food. Everything stellar. Would like old preparation on dates, but the new prep is very good.
Always impressed! They never fail to meet the mark and really bring a fun evening. We were celebrating a birthday and they surprised us with the wonderful flan. Yum! It really put the exclamation point on our dinner celebration.
Cozy but the staff is very attentive. There is no better paella in this city!

10/10 Tapas environment. Waiters and bartenders have fantastic recommendations but you won't need it. All the food is absolutely phenomenal. Special shoutouts to the squid, lamb and mushrooms. Do yourself a favour and go here for a meal

Socarrat is the kind of restaurant that pulls you in for the food but keeps you long after the last bite. I stopped in during a weekend trip to NYC, drawn by curiosity about the B.E.C. Paella, and left feeling like I'd found a neighborhood spot I don't even live close enough to claim.
I started with Patatas Bravas and a glass of Sangria Roja, both exactly right, before the paella arrived. It was genuinely delicious, the kind of dish that earns its reputation. But what made the meal was the atmosphere the owner, Lolo, and his bartender created at the bar. Warm, genuine. The kind of hospitality that's harder to pull off than it looks.
If you're visiting NYC and want Spanish cuisine that delivers on both the food and the experience, Socarrat is worth going out of your way for. And if you're lucky enough to live nearby, I'm a little envious.

Extremely delicious food, great service and ambiance. Good drink and dessert options too!
The pescado and marisco paella here is a layer of rice with tomato sauce slightly overcooked to make it stick to the pan and give you the impression of a paella on top of which they randomly drop some steamed shrimps, fish, scallops etc which are not cooked with the rice and the sauce and they taste nothing. Terrible shortcut to a real paella

This is the best paella in New York City. Lives up to its name. All of the people who work here are professional and kind. The only thing is it's a little loud – at least for people my age! Young folks are probably fine with it!

Love this place! The paella is amazing and everyone working there is so friendly. Tonight we also got the brussel sprouts with almonds, radishes, and balsamic vinegar, yum. Thank you all for the incredible food and service 🙏🏻❤

Great experience, Jose was our waiter and he was very friendly and he explained to us every detail of the dishes we ordered, we had a great time, the paella was spectacular, the ingredients feel fresh, the red sangria was refreshing one of the best I have been able to try, obviously I will return with My family since we wanted to try more dishes from the menu.

My husband and I love Socarrat and have been going regularly for happy hour since moving to NYC! The food, drinks, and service are all excellent. We love the bacon wrapped dates! We’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Moises and Jesus and always feel very welcomed by them and the rest of the staff!
