This place was a great find after walking into Lillie's just a half block away, which was filled with "I want to see and be seen after work yuppie douches. Down to earth patrons, great food and service with close proximity to the O'Neill Theatre to boot. Highly recommend for a drink or dinner before a show

My girlfriend and I came in at 10:35 pm on the day before New Years Eve and it wasn't particularly busy (especially compared to the many others places around). We sat down for a solid ten minutes as the server ate her food in plain view of everyone and stood at the bar talking. Right before leaving my girlfriend had made eye contact with the server and the server finally came over. To the manager- servers should always say hello as quickly as possible when guests enter and watching a server eat her food in front of three tables who were not greeted or had any orders taken is ridiculous. Step up your game.

So you made it to Times Square...everything is great! Except you are trying to get out of all this madness and have yourself a nice drink and a place to sit down. The Olive Garden is so close I bet they have great drinks(and unlimited breadsticks!) Except you came to Yelp for a real review of a real Bar and not this Planet Hollywood and Buffalo Wild Wings chain nonsense. This is New York City not a strip mall on a suburban highway. Head down to 8th ave and check out Social for your own good. Not only will you be able to catch your breath and find a place to sit but you will have to worry significantly less about tourists smacking you with selfie sticks or dodging creepy Disney knockoffs. Upon entry...the bar is long and inviting; just like the 3-8 Happy Hour! For a quick bite try the Large Pretzels (with a Beer Cheese dip) or the Cheese Burger Egg Rolls. If you need something more hearty to hold down all that libation the French Onion Soup and the Jack Daniels Burger will do just the trick. The beer selection will suit most tastes. A decent mix of locally brewed flavor and imported talent. Which is exactly what you get if you are lucky enough to get Meghan and Louise behind the bar!

There are a bazillion bars in NYC so someone's five star bar is someone else's two star, but I really enjoyed Social. The bartender was friendly, the drinks kept coming, and I was pleasantly surprised by their burger and wings. I wouldn't make a special trip to come here, but if I'm in the area again I wouldn't hesitate to stop by.
This is a great place for all of your game watching needs. I come here as I've been following one of my good friends from a previous place. I've been here several times on different nights. Friday and Saturday nights are definitely a more turn up party vibe as there is a DJ who plays great tunes to keep the night going strong. During the week they'll have the games playing on multiple screens so you won't miss out. The drinks are decently priced and the service is always quick. There is ample seating at the bar and the dining area. The ambiance is always chill and uplifting. It's also a great place to come with a group and mellow out after work or catch a drink at the bar by yourself if you choose to - You can't go wrong at Social!

Came here for lunch and it was great! Located in Hell's Kitchen area, this bar also has a rooftop as well, which is great when the weather is good. I had an order of mild wings, fries and a beer. It was reasonably priced, they also do have a great lunch specials. The atmosphere is very chill and service was great and friendly. Recommend to go during happy hour, they have great specials!
