I’m not Cuban, so maybe not the perfect judge, but I have always loved Cuban Sandwiches and I think Sophie’s makes a great one.

I ordered a Cuban sandwich, and it was awful. Food was not fresh at all. The bread was all soggy, tasteless, and it seem to have come from the refrigerator stored for a few days. It looks like their sandwiches are premade and placed on a panini to warm it up. Don't sell anything if it's not fresh

The food was great. I got the classic Cuban sandwich and fries. The sandwich was a little smaller than I expected. The fries were excellent . The staff was fun to watch cause the were so busy , they were working together in unison and picking up each others slack when needed. The price for 2 Cubans and fries and a coke was around $30. Pretty typical of NYC.

Food is always delicious and fresh. Love coming here during my lunch break at work. Their lemonade is really good. Must try the green sauce and garlic sauce. I put it on everything. Staff is friendly.

I ordered for pick up from the 68th street location. My food was hot, ready and delicious!! The green sauce is a little spicy and packs a huge punch of flavor, thank you for dinner!

Had El Cubano, Beet and String Beans side, and a Mango Batido for lunch. Ordered through delivery service and food and drink traveled well. The sandwich was delicious and kept warm in it's wrapper. The sandwich was flavorful, meat was tender, and it was well put together - held up with each bite and didn't fall apart! The beet and string beans were a tasty side . Mango batido (opted to be made with water) was refreshing!

Not the experience I was expecting.
I was drawn in by a sign outside advertising $1.99 empanadas — a great deal, or so I thought. I went in and ordered two, only to find out at the register that the total was almost $9. When I asked why it didn’t match the sign, I was told the price only applies in the mornings. I double-checked the sign, and unfortunately, there was no mention of a time restriction. It felt misleading, and although I went ahead and paid, I left disappointed.

To make matters worse, the food I ordered yesterday wasn’t even hot. The rice tasted stale, and the beans were a bit hard — nothing felt fresh.

I get that places have off days, but between the unclear signage and the quality of the food, I don’t see myself returning.

I was so glad we stopped in at Sophie's Cuban! I got the mojo pork and empanada combo, and let me tell you, it was a flavor fiesta in my mouth. But seriously, folks, bring a forklift, because the portions are MASSIVE. I'm pretty sure I ate that combo for three meals straight and still had enough to build a small, delicious fort. My fridge is basically a shrine to Sophie now. And the best part? The prices are ridiculously reasonable. My wallet actually thanked me. If you're looking for incredible food that will feed you for days, and your significant other, and possibly your neighbors, then you need to get yourself to Sophie's. You won't regret it!

I was actually surprised the food was so good. Only because it's a chain and not like a local spot but very pleasantly surprised. The staff was so sweet and accommodating. They also played music I love ❤️
