Absolutely amazing. I have lived in Italy for almost 2 years and have eaten hundreds of pizzas there. I was thrilled that the Sorbillo in NYC was as good as the one in Napoli, which most of my friends who have lived in Italy for a while would agree is the best pizza one can get. If you want to try authentic Italian pizza, you need to go here. No other place in the states has ever come close! The crust is the best part and is absolutely amazing. I spoke with the guy working there in Italian, and he was obviously a native, so there's even more proof that this is the real stuff!

One of the best places to get pizza in the East Village. Pizza was made perfect. The best combination of sauce, cheese and dough. We also had zucchini fritters which were outstanding. They have a nice sitting area outside which made our meal even more enjoyable.Great service and excellent pizza.

Sorbillo Pizzeria was nearby when we walked around Manhattan, so it was decided for lunch time. Restaurant is maintained clean during COVID. There weren't many people here when we dined. Everyone working wore masks, and there are hand sanitizers provided here. We made reservations for indoor dining, but it is not needed during this COVID time. FOOD: Nduja Pizza (4/5): It was divided into 6 slices. It is the traditional thin crust pizza, similar to the Naples original! There is salami and sausage with Calabrian peppers. Also, the nduja spheres are spread onto mozzarella cheese. Lasagna Napoletana (4/5): My friend was obsessed with it. Pasta was great, but the sauce was delicious. I would dip my pizza crust into the sauce. I would definitely order this again. Service was good. Water never touched bottom. Server was decent, everything came out pretty quick. Would I come back? Yes. You can order the pizzas 50/50 as well.

Oven-fired pizza and wine? How could you go wrong. We visited on a Sunday I believe and sat outside. They've got a fair amount of space for outdoor seating. They had a wide range of legitimate Italian pizzas, the styles of which covered multiple regions of Italy. (Note: This information comes from my companion who happened to be an actual Italian). We finished lunch (where both of us killed the equivalent of one full pizza each) with some wine (I loved the Chianti enough to go looking for it elsewhere) and dessert (cannoli). I've thrown some pics onto this review for good measure.Bottom line: If you're looking for the authentic stuff, this is probably a good place to start.

First time went to this location the pizza was amazing the service was great but i definitely needed to cut a star for simple fact that they charge 8 dolars for water and not even offer tap water for people who rather not pay for earths created water.

The pizza is amazing...probably the most authentic Italian pizza in NYC. The service was not at the same level. It does not differ much from the service in a classic pizzeria in Italy, but considering the level of attention in most of the restaurants in NY, it was a little underwhelming, especially because when we visited, it was a very quiet night. If you're looking for a real Italian pizza place do yourself a favour and eat here, will be back for sure.

The interior design and vibe is nice, the prices are ok except the 8 dollar price on the water. We got the fried mozzarella cheese balls and the magherita pizza. The pizza was thin and the crust was delicious and buttery. The mozzarella cheese balls weren't oily and they were also very good, downside is that the sauce provided is served cold and not warmed up/hot and they only put one basil leaf on the pizza. Food came out quickly but there was only one table beside ours. Staff was ok (not inviting) our waiter was quick but could be friendlier honestly.

Absolutely amazing pizza, one can't get a better napoletana pizza than this place. I used to think Keste on Bleecker St used to serve best Napoletana pizzas but Sorbillo proved to be few notches higher (no offence to Keste, they are still amazing ???). The dough they use to make this pizza is so good (caputo 0 grade) that it is not only delicious but also goes easy on your stomach. All in all, a must visit place if you are downtown NYC area!!
