I had the Braised Tofu Skin Bento Box Carrot Cake and Hibiscus Tea
Yayayayaya I finally get the chance to come, back in the days Everytime I’m around it’s always late and they closed already, I finally early enough this time😄totally love this place😄
When you walk into Spring Cafe, just off busy Canal Street, a bright, multicolored heart greets you with the words: “Somebody in Chinatown loves you.” After finally visiting, I can confirm—it tracks! I ordered the Teriyaki Quinoa Bowl with grilled chik’n and the two-bao bun special: one with braised tofu skin and the other with vegan BBQ pork. The braised tofu was subtle and balanced, while the BBQ bao was a flavor bomb—both were delicious. Spring Cafe is onto something smart. Their baos are bigger than average, and with combo offerings that include your choice of fries or hot soup, the baos aren’t just sides anymore—they’re the main event. And it’s about time they stepped into the spotlight.
Probably the best smoothie I've ever had, perfectly cooked mushrooms and peper on my bao bun, and amazingly crispy fries ! My partner usually doesn't eat plant-based food because it hurts their stomach, but they absolutely loved this place because of how well-cooked everything was!
So many delicious sounding choices on menu, both food and drinks! Small cute place. We only grabbed a smoothie at the time but it was delicious and would recommend visiting!! Looking forward to trying some of the bento boxes next time 😋
Loved this place. Got the chickenless salad. Was very full afterwards. Decent portion for the price in downtown Manhattan. Would absolutely come back here again.
I had vegan ham cheese with filter coffee with soy milk this morning and I LOVED THE SANDWICH!! I couldn’t decide between Hash brown cheese sandwiches and vegan ham one so I asked for hash brown as a side. I loved tne whole breakfast and will definitely go there to try other foods again!! Whole three things cost around $21/22
The bao buns are a 5 !! We would go back for those. The food was really good just did not bang like the bao, the bao slapped!! Cake was huge and tasty, little dry on the sponge parts but think just due to being in the fridge. Lovely staff, lovely little venue in China town, and if you go during happy hour it is buy one get one free on smoothies 😍
I love this spot, especially since I can walk here for lunch! I've tried the boxed lunch, the baos, and the sandwiches. I love a good sandwich. The tofu skin is great.
The bowls are delish. I love the quinoa bowl, but you need to have the BBQ pork bao

I always get the pork bbq it’s delicious
Good food and quick service. Good value for money too. All cutlery and crockery was single-use, however. Updated from previous review on 2025-02-12
My first time ever having braised tofu - simply heavenly. The place has a small dine-in area with 40min time limit, and lovely staff. Can't wait to try their sweets too!
Casual space we tried all four bao’s and also had the most delicious hot and sour soup. The drinks were fab as well: a beet smoothie and a pineapple and green juice. So good!!
Tiny, all vegan restaurant - outstanding! Not much room to eat in (but you can) - absolutely delicious, fresh and reasonably priced
