These burgers make me relive the great taste that I used to enjoy in my childhood years. The atmosphere is also very cozy, and the owner is personable and extremely knowledgeable about everything on the menu.
I had the burger and it was delicious. It was juicy and flavorful and clearly made on site. This is NOT one of those pre-packed burger patty joints that seem to be everywhere else. This is clearly a labor of love. When I walked into St. Mark's Burgers and Dogs, I was immediately taken by the old school New York ambiance. Best Smashburger in NYC—highly recommend! We stopped in for lunch, and the owner was working the grill. He shared how he makes his own blend of meat in-house. He makes all the sauces from scratch. His hotdogs can’t be bought in a store, and they’re deep fried! After hearing this, we added a chili cheese dog to our order, and yes, the chili is his proprietary recipe too.
