Best place to eat Chinese food in NY. Clean and tasty. Crab and pork dumplings are my favorite.

A year ago this was five stars for me. When they first opened, they served distinctive dishes with great preparation. Something changed and it’s gotten very lackluster, everything is just kind of average at best. I hope they can get back to their former glory.

I chose 4 stars because it was great. The fried rice didn't have enough seasoning in it, which drops it down to four stars or else it would have been five stars.

Loved it. No notes. Ambiance is lovely, on the relatively casual side, but you still feel like you’re “out.” The food is great. Dan Dan noodles were soupier than I am used to, but loved it. Eggplant, scallion pancakes and bamboo shoots also delicious. Will be back.

I dined at Steam today and had a great experience. The food was authentic and really flavorful. Everyone in the reviews mentioned how amazing their soups were, and they were right – the soup was fantastic. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was attentive. I spent $50 for appetizer, a main course, dessert, and a glass of wine, which I found to be quite reasonable. I’d definitely recommend Steam for anyone looking for Chinese food. Five stars!

Might be best Chinese downtown. Delicious Shanghai food. Rice cakes, eggplant and green beans are all great.

The service was so good I felt compelled to write a review. On top of that the food was pretty much flawless for each item I've tried in my 2 visits so far.
They have a lot of staff working and all of them are attentive and friendly. I really enjoyed all of dumpling varieties and the wuxi spare ribs.
This is my favorite dim sum in the area for dine in/take out.

XLB are one of the best I’ve had in the States. Good, thin dough that didn’t fall apart. A perfect amount of meat and delicious soup in the middle. We also ordered the shrimp dumplings, beef scallion pancakes, Stir fried rice cake. Everything was delicious! I can’t wait to come back again!
