There was a livesteamer present being obnoxious and not asking other guests if they were open to being recorded. He quickly started making homophobic comments and was clearly very cozy with the bartender on staff who was making him and his group feel welcome. I will never be back.

Nice small and inviting atmosphere and friendly staff. Unfortunately the cocktails were memorably the worst we’ve had in recent memory. Spagliato with no bubbles and a mule without bubbles that tasted like pure fake bottled lime juice. Perhaps the move is to get the cider.

Stayed two nights for our wedding anniversary. Originally booked into SOAK but switched to STEAM the second night because the AC upstairs was having trouble coping with the heat. Our hosts were very helpful and accommodating with the switch, which was super appreciated! Both rooms were charming, exactly what we expected.
Walking distance to some charming places to eat and drink, and a short drive to the grocery store for provisions. Definitely looking forward to booking a future visit, and thanks again for accommodating our change request. Next time we'll plan to visit when the Oasis across the street is open.

Owner was super accommodating and so friendly . Our “steam” room was clean and decorated very artistically. We had such a fabulous stay and Barryville is such a welcoming town. Had coffee at the little cafe and lunch at the oasis. Great experience.
