I hadn't been to Strip House in several years, but remembered the food being a whole lot btter than it was on this visit. The ribeyes we ordered were gristly and barely warm. The meat was about as flavorful as what you'd get in a supermarket...far from the dry aged goodness you expect (and pay for) in a good steakhouse. The bright spots were the atmosphere / decor and service. But there are too many other great spots in NY to chance another meal here.

Tonight's experience was top notch from beginning to end. The hostesses Shequia and Neveah, are welcoming and respectful. Dinner was excellent tasting- crab cakes- no fillers!, tuna fresh tasting and miso cod to die for- exec chef is knocking it out of the park with his creative dishes backed by a great kitchen team and runners. Waitress alyssa is a maestro in her profession- always makes you feel special as does managers Sophia and Angela! Overall great high level dining experience

I ordered the 14oz rib eye steak but i was disappointed in it. It had a pepper/seasonings on it that I didn't like (and very thick coating of it). I didn't expect that. I'm not a pepper fan & maybe I didn't understand what I was ordering, but it was not only not good but tasted like I had ashes in my mouth. I had eaten here a year ago & that's why I went here again because the steak was so good so I was very disappointed. The gnocchi was just OK.

We usually eat at the Strip House on 12th Street, but we were at the theater for a matinee on Saturday, so we tried the location on west 44th Street. It was terrific. Same as at the downtown location... we each had a filet mignon, done to perfection, I had a Caeser Salad to start, my wife had shrimp in coconut. Each had a glass of Malbec. The service was tops, prices were in line, so it's our favorite steak house, mid-town or downtown.

5th time here. Amazing food every time. Strip loin is incredible. Our server, Zach, was perfect. Can't go wrong with a reservation here.

Fun, sexy atmosphere for a birthday dinner. Steak was cooked perfectly with a great crust, but still needed quite a bit of salt. The broccoli was shockingly wonderful and the cacio e pepe gnocchi was a nice texture and flavor that meshed well with the steak (in fact I used the extra sauce from the gnocchi as a little extra something for my steak - highly recommend). Service was fine, but we joked that our server was definitely somewhat checked out by the end (we get it, it's probably been a long day). Overall a good meal and a good experience.

We had an amazing time at Strip House. We decided we wanted to take the kids to a nice dinner before our Broadway show. Of course you never know how you'll be received when you show up to a $$$ restaurant with your kids. But it was no problem. Our server , Alyssa was all good with the kids and we had an amazing experience. Highlights were the KC strip and Mac and cheese. The oysters and crab cocktail were bomb too. After dinner we were all done and filled to the gills and Alyssa decided to surprise us with the best cheesecake we have ever had. The kids were in heaven and we were on cloud 9. Now we were really done, until the manager Sal shows up and asked us if we had a good time and enjoyed the cheesecake. Of course we did and he said you should try the 21 layer chocolate cake. My daughter's love language. He said sit tight I'm bringing one out. And he did and chatted us up. It was the best Chocolate cake I have ever had and literally 21 layers. We absolutely loved the level of hospitality Alyssa and Sal showed to us, especially being the only family in there with kids. Love, love this place for how they treated our family. You can't not put a rating high enough on an experience like that. Thanks Alyssa and Sal.

Great ambience in a sumptuous dining setting. Like stepping back in time. Ribeye, ordered medium, was a little over done, but the NY strip, also ordered medium, was perfect. The key was to order medium rare plus.

The porter house was chewy. The bone in ribeye was dried. The service was terrible. Have to ask multiple times for a coke. When food was brought out, waiters just plopped it onto the table. And before we even finished, they wanted to clear the plates. Lastly the restaurant needs some more lighting. Totally not worth the $$$$.

Excellent Lunch. The Filet Sandwich was delicious and the Chicken Piallard is outstanding. Can't wait for their new Fall Lunch Menu items end of October. Candace is a fantastic bartender!

Very good restaurant.
We ate here on our New York vacation
in August. I have to say that dinner there was a highlight of the vacation.
I don't have anything comparable in Germany
Saw a steakhouse.
If you're planning a great dinner on vacation, I can recommend a visit there.
You have to budget a few euros but it's worth it.
You should reserve well in advance.
