I’ve been to sugar monk before without reservations and have had great experiences. However, the other night I had someone come up to the door and very condescendingly state that they were at full capacity for the night and said, “better luck next time” and shut the door. That was extremely unprofessional and distasteful. As a Harlem native, I’ll say that this is very crass behavior. Do better.

Kiki was our waitress. But she was beyond amazing in spirit and funny as hell. We had the best drinks and experience here. Being from DC I am happy we are relatively close to NY. But I wish we had something like this back home. If you like creative and enjoyable cocktails in a chilled and hella fun environment, you need to go here!!

A nice little speakeasy with a great ambiance and not too loud. However the drinks were not good; among three of us one drink was way too gingery, one was too sweet, and mine gave me heartburn.
