Best sushi place in the city !!!The food and options available are incredible and priced appropriately. No tipping culture at this restaurant (which means the servers are paid well btw). Our server was super nice and also politely answered all our questions which made us comfortable to try many options on the menu.I and my friend walked in and were put on the waitlist at 7ish pm on a Saturday. We got our table around 8:30 ! We hung out at such cute bars before and after our dinner at this restaurant, and trust me the bar options near this place are just fab ! Martini (which was 0.3 miles from Sugarfish) turned out to be our fav bar that night.Must must must try once and you’ll want to go here every weekend after !

Server got my order wrong. We waited 30 mins after seating before our order was taken. Server never gave us water. I eventually asked a different server for water and she got really confused by that.

Disappointed by your lack of tamari. Some people are celiac and gluten free, therefore can’t have soy sauce. It’s 2024 and a great time to start being inclusive.

Fish was great. Service was good. But the sushi rice was horrendous, a shame for such beautiful fish.

Good price for lunch for tasting menu. No tip accepted. The food tho… Sushi rice is too warm and too loose. Not my favorite.

Very average omakase. Nothing special or remarkable. Rice falls into pieces. Handrolls are dry.

sugarfish never disappoints. the minute we walked in we were greeted by two of the nicest and most kind and helpful people; eva (main host) and wendy (manager). their job is quite stressful with customers that lack patience BUT eva and wendy handled themselves (and their customers) with such patience and grace. i also want management to know that sean (runner) was/is also exceptional. such a good guy and sooo hardworking. sugarfish, you are so fortunate to have eva, wendy and sean on your side. thank them for us. we appreciated the whole experience.

Boring sushi options, it was good but it was not the best.We waited 30 minutes for a table when a lot of people were going out. They do not have any type of cocktails.Would not recommend.

We were completely ignored by the two staff members when we walked up to the counter, but we chalk it up to the fact that they might have been too wrapped up in something to even acknowledge that we were there, for whatever that's worth. However, the hostess that came after those two was extremely professional and friendly, and essentially nullified that negative experience. We got one of the Trust Me, and trust me, it's fantastic sushi. The food is incredible, and the service was fantastic after that initial experience.
