Great experience and great sushi. We all loved it.Omakase is not our typical go to in Florida, where we live, but we will definitely go back to @Sugarfish our next trip north.

This place felt like a “15 minute omakase sushi on jones” kind of vibe.We opted for the Trust Me.Red flag #1, they do not use fresh grated wasabi, they served the HORSERADISH WASABI. For a higher end sushi spot than your typical take out and with the name “Nozawa”, that’s gotta be a sushi sin right?Red flag#2, my sea bream nigiri had a piece of fish scale on it. Once again this gotta be a sushi sin right?Red flag#3, It was still prime dinner time at 8:30pm and they ran out of the premium Otoro and could only serve us the lesser cut of Chutoro in replacement. This I wouldn’t mind as much if they offered to comp the substitution or served an additional piece to make up for serving a less pricier cut of tuna. I paid for the set meal and should have been served something that equals the value I paid for.Service was quick but felt like we were rushed with the pace. The one serving us sped through explaining the fish pieces. I also did not like that they didn’t serve us both at the same time, this made the hand roll seaweed lose its crispness while waiting for the other hand roll to come out for my date.I am willing to give them another shot, but maybe at different location.

Always solid. Get the albacore belly! Bay scallop hand roll is definitely my favorite. The consistency of sugar fish from location to location is amazing. You always know what to expect and you don’t leave disappointed.

Can’t order more than 3 rolls of Nagiri, rolls are super tiny, you can’t get any modifications. Taste is subpar. No options for

Sugar fish will forever be my favorite. Such a good option for reasonably priced, elevated casual restaurant. No matter which location I visit, I always get the exact same amazing sushi, service and price. I love how fresh, simple and delicious their sushi is. I don’t think I ever really noticed the difference in sushi rice until I tried sugar fish, their rice is so so tasty. Service is always quick and friendly and tip is included in the prices. Literally can’t get any better, I hope they never change!!!

Go to omakase in NYC, it really is a the best value for the price you are paying without breaking bank. The attention is great, and the menu is consistent: always really good and fresh. For me, the scallop nigiri is a MUST.

I’ve been to many SUGARFISH locations and know my order by heart. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. Sat at the bar, no water/menu/service for 10 mins due to staff laughing over photos on their iPhone. The glass of wine poured was 5 oz at best. Never bussed any empty plates. Has 3 empty plates stacked in front of me for 15 mins. Had to flag someone down to order more food. If I didn’t visit SUGARFISH in Flat Iron 4-5 times a month, I would have no idea that this isn’t normal. I will never ever go back to this location. The management to review security footage and train their teams

They've put eight seats at a bar that can only fit seven and so two people can't fit in the same corner. The manager refused to make it right when I had to get up and leave when there was no longer room to sit. I've spent thousands of dollars at sugarfish and eaten there for over a decade. I will never eat at this location again even though it is walking distance from my home.

Great service. Good value sushi. I m personally not a fan of long grain rice sushi that falls apart, but others seem to like it. U can get better ? if u want to spend more cash, but at this price point sugarfish is good.

For the price point, SUGARFISH is the best Omakase restaurant in terms of overall value. I came here during lunch, they don’t accept reservations and the lines are pretty long usually. I was able to get seated pretty quickly by showing up 30 minutes before the lunchtime rush. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely be back!
