This place deserves five stars. The ice cream is delicious. The flavors are inventive (recommend the Thai iced tea, kaya, ube, Melona, sweet corn, blueberries and cream, banana milk, and passion fruit). The shop is generous about sampling. The staff is allergy-aware. And the service is always friendly...that is, until you ask for a cover for your cup. Please, please, please, PLEASE Sundae's Best owners - buy covers for cup sizes other than the large, and/or tell your staff that it's OK to plop the smaller cup into a large cup and throw a cover on there. We are your neighbors; we have been to the shop dozens of times; and we plan to visit dozens of times more - but we have small kids and small appetites, and we want to cover our ice cream to take home and put in the freezer. There is no reason for your staff to slam cups, make faces, or flat out refuse to cover ice cream that costs $23+ dollars for three servings. Every time - EVERY TIME - they have an issue just when we ask for a cover. For Pete's sake, this is a basic part of running an ice cream shop and ruins an otherwise wonderful experience EVERY TIME.

Awesome flavors! Tried: Thai basil pineapple, 누룽지, 인절미, dalgona coffee! Wanted to try all the flavors! Sweet corn, miso, banana milk, home run ball, 미수가루 and more~~
Dalgona was delish but strong and 누룽지 came with rice puffs! 인절미 was perfect with mochi

Nice treat. Very tasty. Staff was super nice and helpful. Not much room for sitting, only two small places to sit. Close to the Empire State Building.

My daughter and I now frequent this place. Really interesting flavors and the staff are super nice and welcoming. Great quality ice cream!

This spot is now one of my favorite ice cream place in the area. The texture is overall thick and creamy. Sorbet available too.
Good for exploring creative flavors (especially Asian-inspired) but not classic ones.

✨Injeolmin is always my go-to flavor if available. Their injeolmin one was rich and thick but the mochi mixed in it was too solid and slightly brought down the flavor.

🍨🌾Puffed rice was delicious. The flavor was rich but not too sweet. I would recommend this one!

I am usually a massive fan of “Asian inspired” dessert flavours. But this place was a massive flop. I sampled ~12 flavours and honestly struggled to create a semblance of something worth ordering. I went with pineapple basil (which was not a very good gelato texture - more like sorbet - but a decent flavour profile - at least relatively) and the pretzel chocolate one. The pretzel chocolate was a huge failure for a dark chocolate gelato, and tasted more like a low quality milk chocolate gelato. And these were the winners.

The kalamansi was very sour. The tiramisu was weird. The peach was honestly one of the worst ice cream flavours I have had - potentially ever. Tasted like poorly executed children’s flavoured yogurt gone bad with a ton of sugar. Sesame Oreo was too strong for me - it dried out my whole mouth in one bite!

Needless to say $8 for two scoops I could not even finish, will not be coming back

Workers are super nice tho!! Tolerated all my sampling

I've never had sorbet that tastes better than ice cream, the Jeju Mandarin flavor is unreal!

A must-visit shop for ice cream lovers! First of all, the best part is that there is a huge variety, from classic flavors to quirky and unique flavors. It's also fun to be able to choose your own toppings and create your own original sundae. The inside of the store is casual and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and provide good service. The prices are reasonable, so it's recommended to go and share with friends and family. This is an irresistible spot for those with a sweet tooth!

Creative gelateria offering flavors from Asia: matcha, mochi, makgeoli, misugaru, misō and azuki. Customers can try some flavors to decide what to drink. Good service.
As for the ice cream, it's good, but not extraordinary. But, it's worth visiting if you want to try the different flavors of Asia.

Sundaes Best is a YES! It has such a cute boutique like vibe. Their menu of Asian-inspired flavors of gelato and sorbetto are unique and enticing. It’s hard not to go big when placing an order.

I had to go for a tropical trio of sorbettos, so I ordered the guava, mango and passion fruit. Those 3 flavors combined were delicious and perfect blend of sweet and tart. My cup was quickly empty!

I will absolutely be going back to try other flavors.
