First time here.No mention on the menu of:Nigiri serving is one not two pieces. Not served on sushi rice but on dry brown rice.Items not available on the "Sushi Available Today" menu. They couldn't have sold out as the place is empty on a Friday night. Not Japanese owned and run. Too many typos on the menu.Rushed service. Why. The place isn't busy, I'm sure you're not needing my plates to get them back out. Let me try to enjoy my meal in peace. There are better choices in the area. Keep looking.Last time here.

Because I was staying at the Hilton Garden / Midtown, I walked across the street and saw this place. They have outdoor seating on the street but interior was warm and inviting. They have a large sushi bar and a nice private dining area where you can take off your shoes and dine in privacy, perfect for a work or family occasion. Because I was dining alone I preferred to eat in a table in the back and felt comfortable. The menu was decent but not a traditional Japanese restaurant but I did enjoy the Black Cod Misozaki (fish marinated in miso and lightly grilled, it was very delicate and the chef prepared a beautiful garnish of avocado and ikura / salmon roe.) it wasn’t enough for dinner so I also ordered two pieces of Ikura and Uni (sea urchin) with a glass of Pinot Grigio - I decided not to order miso soup or rice… that costs extra. The total bill was $76. Including tax. Granted that the seafood flew from California, like me… and I wondered why the heck was I ordering sushi when I could get it back in CA! Anyway, dinner was fine, the wasabi wasn’t real it was the squirt kind, no edamame was offered, no hot towels for the hands, no orange sherbet or tangerine for dessert, and the sad thing was that it wasn’t plated aesthetically (w/o garnish, at these prices?) I felt the service could have been more hospitable too. Also they locked the doors so I had to be let out because there were three rough looking guys tripping out right next to the door entrance. I guess the manager didn’t care about my personal safety as he quickly locked the door behind me! I won’t come again.

I found Sushi Sen-Nin by walking across the street from my hotel (Hilton). They have an outdoor seating option on the street which is covered but I chose to sit inside. I'm dining alone and it felt comfortable eating at a table for two where I can check everyone out and what they're ordering! I first ordered Black Cod Misozaki (marinated in Miso & lightly grilled (I think). It was delicious and prepared with delicately sliced avocado and ikura eggs (salmon roe). Highly recommend as an appetizer. Then I ordered Ikura and Uni sushi (waiter said it was from California). Of course it was also delicious and tasty! I had it all with a glass of Pino Gris

The staff was excellent here! Very attentive and quick. We had a late dinner reservation and they were kind enough to let us stay a little longer and finish up our food and drinks after hours. All the appetizers were amazing, but I would recommend the Yellow Tail Uzusukuri, gyoza and the octopus balls the most. For drinks try their margaritas they were great! Will definitely be back, thank you for the great service.

This sushi roll features spicy tuna and a crunchy core, wrapped in avocado and garnished with four colorful fish eggs, creating a visually appealing and tasty treat.

Amazing food. Great service. Nice decor. Don't miss this place. Definitely stop by here.

This place was just okay. The rice was actually mushy and a mix of brown and white rice, which was a bummer. Veggie Dumplings tasted a bit off too. Not terrible, but they need to step it up. I'm going with a 2 out of 5. Interior was nice.

Very nice and fresh sashimi, chirashi was excellent. Service was adequate. Not much of atmosphere. Very expensive though! It is rarely when I can see rainbow or dragon rolls for $45... Still no regrets, would like to be back.

Very nice and fresh sashimi, chirashi was excellent. Service was adequate. Not much of atmosphere, understand the authentic simple feel. However, didn't care much for decor. Very expensive though! It is rarely when I can see rainbow or dragon rolls for $45... Still no regrets, would like to be back.

Food/Drinks: 5/5We stumbled upon this restaurant on a random weekday after work. Their sign advertised a happy hour that was past 6 pm and we were sold! Thee $$$ on yelp had me shook for a minute but everything is decently priced. It felt more like $$.Happy Hour is only on the beer and sake but it didn't disappoint. The cocktails were normal price and the lychee martinis is absolutely delicious! The presentation was also super cute - he shook up the drink and poured it out infant of us.My partner and I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki and 3 sets of rolls: set of Philly Rolls, California rolls, and Avocado Rolls. Each roll came in a tray of 6 small rolls but it was surprinsingly filling. Service: 3/5We were greeted and welcomed into thee restaurant promptly. Our server answered all of our questions and presented everything nicely. Everything was great but it seemed like after we got our food, all of the wait staff disappeared. Eventually, they came back and we are able to get the check.Vibe: 4/5Upon walking in there was only 1 other group seated, which contrary to popular belief was not SUS! A few more groups came in after we were seated. This is a great place for groups or also a small part of 2 or solo dining. There are these cute nooks that are slightly hidden in the wall like a cubby. We sat here and it felt like a private dinner. The interior is equipped with beautiful traditional Japanese seating and typical American seating.

Great little spot -- gourmet style sushi at a reasonable price. Hidden gem, would highly recommend checking it out.

Very nice in every regard. The wait staff was very helpful in our selections and the chef made us some of the most amazing Sushi we have had. The ambiance is of a very open atmosphere with a modern sax jazz music scene. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: I'm not one but several options on menuWheelchair accessibility: Right on street level and the friendly nature of the staff will accommodate without making any body feel out of place
