So my wife and I looked for a place to kill some time and grab a quick bite and couple of drinks so we stepped into O’haras the service was horrible the food was horrible had to leave and left the food, we walked down the road to Suspenders and was greeted by Reinhard the owner and I have to say the food Was delicious and the beers were ice cold…give this place a chance and check it out coming from a retired FDNY Firefighter you won’t be disappointed

You want a proper old-school cocktail while you sit at the bar? Come here. Excellent martini and Manhattan, sports on TV with the sound off, low level music volume so you can have conversations without yelling. Fantastic bartender!4 stars only because I can't speak to the food - only had drinks.

Went to Suspenders for an evening meal with my partner, well cooked good food, friendly service and well priced. If/when we’ll be in NYC again we’ll definitely be coming back. Great pub.

The food here was excellent. We dined in for lunch, and had quick service and great food. The chicken souvlaki made a great lunch entree and the penne alla vodka with chicken was some of the best vodka sauce we've had in a long time.

I went here and had the lunch special which was the BBQ chicken with smoked Mac and Cheese. It was great value at $16.99 as it was a massive portion and filled me up. I would come here again.

Suspenders is a nice little bar and restaurant just off the R line near Rector St. They had a fairly priced menu and reasonably priced drink menu. We all got a couple drinks and meals that were pretty good. Staff were really friendly, and even handled some of our sillier requests (like taking some group photos for us).

My husband loves the chicken schnitzel which he often craves for.I attached some of their dishes that’s not on their menuTheir menu food is delicious as well but when you try out the entire menu - you tend to look towards their specials which is another added bonus.Salmon with sweet potato friesRibs, potatoes & cole slawChicken schnitzel & friesBeef tacosThey also have karaoke ? night - they host that on a Friday just got to ask the bartender ChickieStaff treats you like family is why I frequent this place!
