Just ordered chicken biryani and yogurt to go. Was the worst tasting biryani i ate till date. Just plain rice and chicken and the yogurt was way too salty. Never going back again!! 😐

Amazing food, reasonably priced, in a pleasant environment. We spent $137 for three (not including tip) and took home leftovers for another dinner for one.

I’ve ordered delivery several times recently and think it is the best Indian food I’ve had on the UWS!

“Terrible Service and Fraudulent Practices!”

I had the absolute worst experience with Swagat Indian Restaurant. Not only is their food subpar (cold, bland, and clearly not fresh), but I also got sick after eating here—definitely a case of food poisoning. To make matters worse, they blatantly engage in fraudulent activities! I ordered through Uber Eats, and they canceled my order, only to turn around and blame me for the cancellation. This seems like a sneaky way to avoid responsibility while still profiting from unsuspecting customers.

This kind of behavior is unacceptable for any restaurant. Save yourself the hassle, your money, and potentially your health—AVOID SWAGAT AT ALL COSTS! There are plenty of other Indian restaurants with better food and honest practices.

I tell everyone this is the best Indian Restaurant in the city. Personally I love the Bharta Bahar, but other people love everything else they order too.

This is a quiet, friendly, lovely neighborhood restaurant. I ate alone on my last visit and the portions are too much for one in one sorting. The taste was amazing and you'll be excited for leftovers.

The worst food ever had in NYC. The quantity of food is so less for this high value price. Never coming back here.

Overpriced and not even close to real Indian receipes. We ordered 3 curry items and it all had the same base, which tasted like eating tomato soup.
