The cocktails are exceptional, if you can get a server to pay attention to you. Or if they don’t turn you away at the door when they have bar seats free all night.

My husband and I stumbled upon this place earlier this year when we were early to a friend’s birthday celebration. It was a Saturday night at 7pm, and we thought there was no way we’d get seated, but the host got us seats in the bar area. The atmosphere is striking, being in the old bank space, and it feels so sumptuous. Their drinks are exquisitely crafted and very creative. My favorite drink is their San Sebastián martini, evoking the flavor of a pinxto in a drink. The umami Negroni is delicious and strong, with a savory note from the mushroom gin. Their bar snacks are the perfect compliment to a martini or two. We’ve come back multiple times this year, and we’re impressed every time.

I absolutely love the classic old interior. Such an amazing architecture. Cocktails were decent too but I can give 5 stars just for the interior and vibe. Modern developers can no longer build a ceiling like this

Brunch service was lovely. Caesar salad was incredible. Green salad was a bit strange.

Came in with a reservation set weeks in advance just to be met with a totally disappointing experience. The hostess was not only dismissive and rude but also seated us in arguably one of the worst tables in the restaurant. We had to consult with a manager just to move us to a more reasonable table. The food was overpriced and mediocre (we are talking a charge of $15.00 for just fries). The whole experience felt incredibly rushed and even though we were celebrating a birthday, not even a dessert menu was offered.

Do not recommend whatsoever, so many better establishments in walking distance.

The venue is beautiful indoor however we struggled to find which door to come as it looked closed from outside, almost in refurbishment.

The cocktail prices are « standard » for an upscale cocktail venue in NYC: $20-$25 for a cocktail // $15 for fries // $18 for crisps, nuts & olives BUT OVERPRICED when 2/3 of your cocktail is made of ice and a huge topping of mint. The cocktails were just too water downed. Not impressed.

It is small venue so if you intend on trying it, a reservation is a must as we could see how booked it would be on busy weekend night. It feels intimate but the service is too lacking for a romantic date. Be aware you won’t be able to take photos of yourself in the venue.

Now, in regards to service: the host male couldn’t have been more blazé in welcoming us. While most waiters wore clean black/white uniforms, other employees were dressed very casually, taking away from an upscale experience. We felt being served by students.

Overall: Too pretentious for what if offers and the staff clearly needs more training and attention to detail. (spilled drinks were never cleaned, from the oversized mint topping).

We left after one drink, to experience a better evening. Won’t be back.

Update: after two years, this is still one of the worst places I’ve been to… and it seems they have not improved their service. Read the comments carefully! There are many other beautiful cocktail bars and lounges in NYC with kinder and better service.

Whoever the hostess was on the night of 10/25/2025 needs a new job. She was incredibly rude, dismissive, and seemed very flustered about how busy it was except no one else was at the hostess stand except me.

The hostess is the first experience someone has to a bar/restaurant and she did not represent you all well at all.

This bar was a huge disappointment. The hostess and servers didn’t even check IDs before serving drinks, which is unprofessional and a serious violation that could result in heavy fines. On top of that, the server was extremely rude and treated guests very differently, which made the experience uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place — both the service and professionalism were far below expectations.

Just a friendly reminder, if a bar serves alcohol to someone under 21 without checking ID, the bar (and even the individual server) can face serious penalties.
Here’s what can happen:
Fines: The New York State Liquor Authority (SLA) can fine the bar up to $10,000 per violation.
License suspension or revocation: Repeated violations can lead to the bar losing its liquor license.
Criminal charges: The bartender or server can be personally charged with a misdemeanor for serving minors.
Civil liability: If the underage person causes harm (e.g., drunk driving), the bar could be sued.
