Popped in for a quick meal cause it looked cute. They serve onigiri! I got the $16 meal kit and it was actually really good. Came with miso soup and some japanese sides. The onigiri is not on their website yet but i recommend it if you need something quick.
It's no Harajuku, but this spot is probably the closest we'll get to a true Japanese theme cafe. There are no Pokemon throw pillows or the like, but there are cute decor touches in the tables and utensils that give you a brief kawaii moment.
Most of the desserts are huge and pricey ($15-22), but the $7 Matcha Float is just as satisfying without breaking the bank. Then again, you could splurge on the Matcha Made in Heaven float like my friend and, well,...

After a heavy meal elsewhere on a warm evening, the Palm Peach snow sundae with pudding was the perfect ending. The positive statements in neon lights and quick friendly service were excellent.
BTW- Entering the place feels uncomfortably stuffy; the thermostat showed 77F... but as you eat the cold desserts, that stuffy humidity ends up feeling great, and you can finish the dessert without your teeth chattering. Smart thinking from the owner!
