I love the hot dogs and French fries at Nathan's. They have not changed since I was a child and hope that they do not change in the future. The hot dogs have a nice garlic flavor to them, and the fries are always so crisp and snap when you dip them in the ketchup. The service is always friendly and welcoming. I love eating outside on the tables in the warmer months and have done this since I was kid. This is what I love about Nathan's in Coney Island. It does not change.
In the States, Nathan's is the equivalent of hot dog. The original Coney Island store, operating since 1916, is the start of the American fast food chain. It also offers an extensive menu before hot dog and fries. A combo of hot dog and cheese fries is the essential Brooklyn experience.
A trip to the Boardwalk on Coney Island is a must for any tourist visiting New York City. Our first view after exiting our train was the defunct Parachute Drop tower. However, we were more interested in The Cyclone, one of the last wooden roller coasters in America and possibly the most famous.
