Good solid neighborhood Japanese. This was one of my neighborhood go to restaurants for takeout sushi. I had some bad takeout experiences when they went to a new online ordering system — I waited 15 minutes past the time the order was supposed to be ready (twice). But now they seem to have got it down so I’m editing my review. The food is good and well priced. I mostly order the sushi roll combinations or tempura udon. It’s not your 300 dollar per person omakase fest, but it doesn’t cost 300 dollars either. Good local takeout place.

I stopped by recently and tried their sushi. It was so delicious and fresh! Not only that, their portions are great. The staff were also so welcoming and kind. The dine in experience was excellent and I will definitely be coming back again soon!

I had a wonderful experience at Tataki Japanese Restaurant tonight. You can really tell this is a restaurant that has been built with care and consistency over many years.
The sushi and sashimi were incredibly fresh, especially the salmon and tuna. Everything tasted clean, delicate, and high quality. The sushi chef’s knife skills and presentation were also very impressive. The handmade gyoza were delicious and clearly made in-house, not frozen like many other places. Even the salad dressing was homemade and had a unique flavor that stood out.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent. I also noticed many local professionals and office workers dining here, which says a lot about the restaurant’s reputation in the area.
If you are in this area and looking for authentic, high-quality Japanese food made with care, I highly recommend this place. I will definitely come back again!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing. We waited an unreasonably long time for the chirashi dish, and when it finally arrived, it did not match what was advertised. The menu claimed 15 pieces, but imitation crab and tamago were counted toward that number, which felt misleading. The portion of rice was also shockingly small for the price.
The udon was equally disappointing — very bland and lacking flavor altogether.
Overall, the quality and value did not justify the wait or the cost. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant.

I absolutely LOVE this place and is my go to sushi spot. You cannot beat the lunch special, the service is fast, and the atmosphere is great. A perfect spot to catch up with a friend or it can be a good date night if you sit near the window. And the rolls are so good everytime. 5/5
