It's a nice little place in my neighborhood, and the staff is very amiable. I have been here four times; the menu changes based on fish availability, mainly from Japan, and the chefs' creativity. If you are tired of salmon, try their Salmon from New Zealand: slurp!! I've also been on Mondays, and it was great. The price for the experience is worth it. Perfect for solo dinner. Treat yourself!

The chef was so personable and the service from everyone was top-notch! Made us feel very warm and welcomed and we very much enjoyed their presence and interactions with the guests. Shout out to Dave our host and Chef Sin our chef! Thank you and we hope to be back!

First time trying the Omakse experience and it was so much fun and amazing! Chef Andy and the hostesses were all so welcoming and great! Will definitely recommend to anyone going to the city!
Fantastic food, and great value- only $90 for 14 course omasake. Intimate setting that only seats 12. And the wait staff made me feel so welcome. The waitress gave me a hug at the end. Highly highly recommend.

Really great value - very fresh and delicious! However felt slightly rushed due to the time limit but overall had a great time! Servers were extremely attentive and they were so sweet to offer me some warm tea as I was cold ??

Incredible food at a reasonable price. While most omakase’s in NYC start at $125, this is a total steal at $90. Every piece was meticulously prepared and the flavors were all rich and satisfying. Definitely recommend!!

As someone who truly loves omakase by korami, I wanted to love Tatsuda but it really disappointed. The quality was not what I expected, much lower quality than I expected. I would not say I enjoyed that meal nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Simply wonderful from start to finish, especially if you like 90's pop music. Tatsuda is almost exactly a year old but seems to fly under the radar for omakase experiences. Our party of 3 was able to get a same week reservation for a Friday evening, and another walk in party of 2 got seated during our time slot. There's a small sitting area in the front for those waiting for their reservation times with comfy couches and a nice view of the street for people-watching.
The 14-course experience is beautifully crafted, with friendly but not overbearing service, in a classy but cozy setting. Even the restroom is cast in soft earthy lighting with an elegantly crafted sink. All this clashes in the best possible way for millenials, now with disposable income, and want to indulge in high quality seafood while Britney (b****) croons in their ears.
Each sushi chef serves about 2 parties at a time, placing perfectly portioned slices of fish with the smallest dab of wasabi over rice on your plates. The uni and shrimp were sweetly briny, scallops melted in my mouth, and I'm still dreaming of the buttery foie gras on unagi. Meanwhile, my friend's dream involves their A5 wagyu with shaved black truffle. The pacing was great and we still had time to chat with our neighbors while washing down bites with a complimentary cup of sake. The finishing touch was the perfectly airy yuzu cheesecake slice.
A gem that I hope stays hidden until my next return!

I’ve been to many omakase places in and out of NYC. I can confidently say that Tatsuda offers one of the best values, if not the best, of all. The quantity and quality of the food is unmatched for the $90 price. Top ones for me were the otoro + caviar, A5 wagyu + white truffle, and the pricey but worth it Tatsuda special (see pics). Service was also impeccable, everyone from the hosts/servers to the chef were very polite and professional. I rarely go back to the same omakase spot as I like to try new ones, but I’m definitely going back to Tatsuda.
