I've been coming here since the soft opening, every single time the service and food have been amazing. The chefs have always selected amazing courses, and the friendliness is of the charts. If you have a reservation they even have a cozy nook for you to relax up on arriving early. Will be back again and again, definitely make a visit if you can.

Had a lovely lunch omakase expereience at Tatsuda Omakase. Went here for my wife's birthday and everything was fantastic. Seemingly, each course was better than the last and the hostess was so kind and generous (I think her name was Connie). Would absolutely return, perhaps to check out the dinner omakase.

This intimate restaurant is definitely a gem. I’m a little over halfway through with lunch omakase and I had to go ahead and leave a review because it’s just THAT good. Every course has been memorable. The service and drinks are great. Worth every penny. I’d come back to NYC just for this!

One of if not the cheapest omakase experiences in Manhattan but, you get what you pay for. Most of the sushi was torched in some fashion and did not vary greatly in texture or flavor profile. You leave full and happy nonetheless.

An amazing experience! The service was outstanding, the quality of the fish and the presentation were on point, and the curation of the dishes was excellent. Their meticulous attention to detail is evident in both the food and the atmosphere.

We made a reservation here as part of the little itinerary I was making for my wife and I during our trip in NYC. This was one of the closest omakase around the area from the pier we were just in and I couldn't be happier that this was the place we chose for Omakase. 16 dish dinner course for a price that couldn't be beat and the attentive staff that we had serving us from waiting at the wait area throughout the whole experience. If you have any preference on fish, you could ask the chef if it could be changed up to something else or you could let him choose an alternative. A la carte available. I recommend getting the sake flight so you could pair it with the fish. My wife was feeling cold and it showed on her face. The staff serving us asked if we were doing fine and I expressed that my wife was just feeling cold. Immediately, they turned down the AC and offered if she wanted some hot tea. She also doesn't have a big appetite so she's been giving me the other dish presented and the staff member noticed. She's too bashful so I told them that she doesn't have a big appetite and got full too easily. They offered to limit the rice or give the fish as a sashimi but the chef can't lessen the fish as the cuts are precise. The staff member to the chef ensured that it was fine and said some reassuring words.

TLDR: The chef and the staff provided SUPERB service and the dishes that came out were all very good. Worth the price and I am absolutely happy we went here for our omakase night! Definitely did not disappoint!

Fish was all precut before service, normally that results in a drier and less fresh taste. Many pieces were sitting out on the prep area well before they were served. Not great sushi and not what I’d expect from omakase - wouldn’t recommend.

I had lunch here the other day. On a $188 check, which included tea, sake, and tax, I left $220 in cash. That is a 17 percent tip on the total bill and more than a 20 percent tip on the food. The waitress questioned the amount and asked if I meant to leave more. To say that tipping has gotten out of hand would be an understatement. Way to turn off a customer. I won’t be back. Management please take note and tell your servers that they can’t demand larger tips.

I went during lunch time for omakase.
The omakase sushi in general tasted fishy, more fishier than other places I have been to.

Service was great & staff was very nice.

Ambiance has a Japanese wooden bamboo vibe with the main dinner room and a lunch smaller room.

Bathroom was very clean and modern, which I appreciated.
