The food was spectacular and the day was gorgeous out, so the tavern had a lot going in its favor during my group's visit. The only down side was a table behind us with a large dog that kept roaming to our table because it was off its leash and barking loudly because it kept seeing squirrels. Wishing there were more measures in place to provide a better atmosphere for everyone.

My husband and I went for our anniversary while we were visiting from CA. They made the evening very special. They were friendly and acknowledged the occasion with dessert and a card on the table. The environment was beautiful and the food was amazing!

Saturday brunch menu and food was delicious, especially in the outdoor patio under the trees on an October sunny day

The food was delicious and staff was amazing! I would have given it 5 for ambiance except it was a bit loud. It really is a wonderful venue.

Was hesitant to go since restaurant was closed and reopened. Heard it may now just be a “touristy” spot (previous dining experiences were amazing). However mother had never been and we were in NYC to celebrate her birthday. Glad our party of six proceeded. Food was delicious and service superb, ask for Devin, he was wonderful.

Nice place. But when someone asks to move from a glass table,HOT day, with other open tables, dont.pu them by the busser station. Plenty of other tables were available Smh

It was amazing visiting this Icon...food was great, cocktails were great, server Constantine was caring and phenomenal, and were never pushed to leave. Spent 2 1/2 hours there and had a wonderful lunch. Strolled through Central Park to get there. We weee there 24 years ago and it was fantastic then as well.

This is one of our favorite casual restaurants in Manhattan especially during the low tourist season. Great service, great food and sitting in the middle of World's best Park! I highly recommend this restaurant.

I was looking forward to eating at this iconic restaurant. It is gorgeous, ambience, and location. However, the food was comparable to Chili's or the Olive Garden. It was undercooked, overcooked, soggy, mediocre, tasteless, and very expensive. It was a big disappointment. Much better places to eat in New York City!!

This was one of the best experiences we've ever had at a restaurant. We were in New York celebrating our anniversary and decided this would be our restaurant of choice. The staff was amazing, super friendly, and attention to detail was like no other we've ever experienced. They welcomed us with an immediate happy anniversary. We got to our table. There was a very nice anniversary card from the owners and at the end of our meal they brought out a box of delicious truffles on a plate with chocolate writing that said happy anniversary. What appeared to be possibly the manager came by greeted us welcomed us and also wanted to make sure she wished us a happy anniversary. They definitely went out of their way to make our occasion special and the gift shop was a do not miss. I found a treasure that I was always have from this visit

Perfect birthday lunch!! Felt very special, received a personalised card and a complimentary slice of birthday cake and ice cream. I'll be back, I loved it.

We haven't been to Tavern on the Green in quite some time. We were very happy with our experience and wondered why we haven't been back sooner. Service was exceptional as was the brunch menu selections we made. We will be back the next time we are in NYC.

Oysters are great, beer menu needs work. Good cocktails.
