Tempest Bar

I met a man here in March of 2019, he was from Ireland and was friends with the bartender. I'm still looking for him if he's still around. He and his buddy treated my husband and I to the best night of our lives! This was the best random hole in the wall bar I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. So Joe Kennedy what's happened here? Are you getting your license back? Have you got another bar?When NYC reopens we're going to need more neighborhood bars like this one and more owners like Joe.

This was a solid bar. Around MSG it's pretty hard to find two things - a bar without the bridge & tunnel crowd, and a well priced par. The Tempest was both. It wasn't some place I eagerly went to, but if I was in the area, we definitely popped in. The bartenders remembered us and were heavy on the pour once they realized we tipped well.
