I met a man here in March of 2019, he was from Ireland and was friends with the bartender. I'm still looking for him if he's still around. He and his buddy treated my husband and I to the best night of our lives! This was the best random hole in the wall bar I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. I'm land locked in Oklahoma, we made plenty of jokes about it all night. We shared a kiss on a rainy night under the protection of the entry way to the bar. I've been looking for you if you're still in New York.

So Joe Kennedy what's happened here? Are you getting your license back? Have you got another bar? When NYC reopens we're going to need more neighborhood bars like this one and more owners like Joe.

This was a solid bar. Around MSG it's pretty hard to find two things - a bar without the bridge & tunnel crowd, and a well priced par. The Tempest was both. It wasn't some place I eagerly went to, but if I was in the area, we definitely popped in. The bartenders remembered us and were heavy on the pour once they realized we tipped well. It was always reasonably full with older people maybe one or two early 20s.They had a jukebox or the bartender played whatever you asked. They also let you bring in outside food which was great!Never a bad time here. We have had a few night ending at 4am.

A gem. Our "go to" before Ranger games and concerts. Joe has a great thing going here. All bartenders are friendly and have become friends. Marta, Patty and Patrick anchor a solid staff. Thanks for being there. Stay gold!
Place was awesome; drinks and service was awesome!!! We loved our bartender Paddy!!!

Sports bar with reasonably priced drinks and not too crowded, especially considering we went there 30 minutes before a hockey game at MSG. Definitely recommend!

It's a no-frills bar that's usually remarkably spacious for a Saturday night--and that's a compliment. You won't have to yell or constantly move bodies aside just to exist there. It's welcoming with tables, pool, darts, and a backroom. Prices and drink options are about what you'd expect for the areas. In my experience, always a fun crowd with no drama.

Best bar in New York. As a visitor the customers, the barmen, all the staff were so welcoming and accommodating and ensured that I had the best night of my stay!

Inexpensive bar near Penn Station and has a dart board!
