Stopped in for drinks to catch up with a girlfriend and had such a good time. The cocktails were excellent (pb&j sazerac was my fav), the bartenders were really welcoming, and the music set the perfect vibe. One of those spots where you end up staying longer than you planned.

Cozy interior bar below the restaurant. Nice options for both alcohol and nonalcoholic.

The Argyle is a sensational spot located downstairs of the Markette restaurant. @chrisrft12 is the bar director and you can taste and feel the effort, love and care put into all of the cocktails on the menu. I had the pleasure of being guided through the experience by the brilliant and charming brother @vtotheill
Here's what I had:
Emerald City - Whiskey infused with pandan and coconut π₯₯. Mix with black lime, matcha and egg white. This was delicate and mysterious. I know the pandan is probably going to stand out for most people but the black lime is think is the star of the show. ππΎππΎππΎππΎ
Pinky Swear - What a fruity candy flavor. Tequila, golden berry, pineapple, nectarine, lime. This is one of those drinks that is a great introduction to tequila. There's just enough agave flavor mixed within the fruit flavors. ππΎππΎππΎ
Sodo Mojo - This taste just like i want. Orangey and delicious. The brown sugar adds and extra element of roundness. I don't want to hear any more nonsense about how orange isn't supposed to go in cocktails. If done right it's amazing. This is amazing ππΎ ππΎππΎππΎ
Martini Tropical- A slighty spicy martini thats bone dry with a nice fruit notes in the back drop. This is a drink for James Bond while he's on vacation. ππΎππΎππΎ
Champs-ΓlysΓ©es - An absolute classic from the 1930sππΏ Don't question the classics
PB & J Sazerac - What an incredible mouth feel. I never really liked Sazerac but this is so much more. The peanut butter is there in almost like a distilled form. It's not absurdly sweet but just enough concord grape to create a beautiful balance. ππΎππΎππΎππΎ
Creamsicle Fizz - The happiest combination of sauternes, orange soda, and a creamsicle foam. This drink does a lot of things I love. It's clear, it's fizzy, it has a delicious foam, and importantly it puts orange in a cocktail and its amazing. ππΎππΎππΎππΎ
Vieux carre - classic cocktail ππΏDon't question the classics
Espresso Martini (tequila based)ππΏ Don't question the classics.

Absolutely love it here. The cocktails are amazing. We tried 5 different ones and they were all excellent! The food was also very very good. And best of all, the hospitality was above and beyond. We had to wait a little for our food (the kitchen was behind) and we barely noticed but they apologized to us and comped all our food! I told them it wasn't necessary but they insisted. The hospitality at the restaurant upstairs is also incredible. 100/10

We came a little after 8pm on a Thursday and sat at the bar - the decor was beautiful, service was attentive, and drinks were delicious. Loved the unique glassware which really helped to complement the drinks; we got the Do U Believe and Emerald City and both were great!

Phenomenal experience, up until the check came. Genuinely feel scammed.
This place has great vibes, the service was top notch, and the drinks were great. Date and I ordered Espresso Martinis, an Old Fashioned, and Vodka Soda.
$40 per Espresso Martini. $43 Vodka soda. $60 Old Fashioned. Under no circumstance should you order anything off menu, they will simply make up a price and that is what you will pay. I would 100% go back here, if not for the shady bill that the server hurriedly had me sign for and then push me out the door. Yikes

Killer addition to the midtown cocktail scene. Had the Paloma and Creamsicle - both great.
The downstairs lounge is spacious and has a great vibe. Some nice comfortable chairs around for prime people watching too.
My pal also tried the straciatella ice cream and that looked fantastic.
Staff were all incredibly nice and welcoming. Looking forward to coming back.

Get here! You start with the ambience. It's a hip, sexy lounge that feels inviting and a little exclusive at the same time.
The food menu is small but the bites are tasty. Its clear that the food is supposed to be the supporting character.
The main course? The cocktails! They are layered and complex and so balanced. My little group had 3 rounds and each was special. Standouts for me were the PB&J Sazerac, Emerald City, Holy Mole and Creamsicle.
Very impressive!

Finally got to check out the downstairs bar / lounge / restaurant below Markette after a show at The Garden next door.
Having been to Markette now a couple times, this place had been on my list to check out, especially after I realized theyβd be open after the show for a nightcap.
The food is run by the same chef as the restaurant upstairs but they do have bar special items like a jerk rib sandwich with homemade coco bread Iβll have to try next time. The bar director Chris curated the perfect playlist to see the vibe as u fined at the dynamic bar that lowers down to wheelchair height.

The Argyle is a stylish cocktail bar featuring inventive drinks and delicious food from the kitchen of the restaurant it resides under: Markette.
The PB&J Sazerac was wonderful and paired beautifully with the Jerk Rib Sandwich.
The aesthetic and mood is gorgeous, so if you're looking for a cool late night bite, consider The Argyle.
Also, they take InKind to save your wallet a bit (get $25 off using the link in my bio).
