We went for my 50th birthday brunch after spending months researching what would be the best place. As a vegetarian and former New Yorker I was excited to try the BD. The service and ambiance were pretty good but the food was quite disappointing. We have had so many outstanding meals here so this was especially unfortunate. Specifically the bread for the avocado toast was dry/stale. The waffle was dry and tasteless and the eggs in the burrito were grey and it had little flavor....
Really extensive menu of both vegetarian and vegan options, nice selection of drinks as well.
Staff were mostly friendly and welcoming, and provided recommendations upon asking.

Sigh. We made a reservation for breakfast and were seated quickly, but no server came for 15 minutes, so my fiance went inside to ask for service. Our disgruntled server eventually took our order. Food came pretty quickly, but my dish was completely wrong. On the second try, our correct food came. My fiancé’s burrito was decent and had nice presentation.
