Bring your date here. Its the spot Ive put on my list. Very cozy, good cheese + wine and very awesome friendly staff.

One of my favorite happy hour spots. Intimate, unique, and insanely delicious! All drinks are phenomenal and you MUST have the Mac & cheese plus the cheesemonger board

Decent spot for a glass of wine or happy hour near Madison square park. When we went it was pretty empty, which threw off the vibe

FIrst, the positive. We ordered a cheese plate that was excellent. The selection was tasty and hit the mark. Second, and the reason for the rating, we went to the cellar expecting a top flight "speakeasy" with great drinks. The setting was fine; the drinks, for all four of us, were mediocre. I asked about a sazerac and the waiter (who was very personable) said the bartender is a great mixologist who makes the best sazerac and would "do you proud!" I don't know if there was a disconnect between the server and the bartender, but the drink that came out tasted like a cross between a poor manhattan and a poor old fashioned. I asked the server if there might have been a mistake and he said no, that was the bartender's twist on the sazerac. I should have pushed the issue but decided it wasn't worthwhile. And no matter what the server or the bartender believed, the drink was not a sazerac, manhattan, or old fashioned, just a bad drink. The others with me had equally unsatisfactory drinks. I wish it would have been a better experience as the atmosphere and cheese were good. But I won't be back.

Service was great. Food was good. I got the smoked turkey grilled cheese sandwich. I just wasn't blown away or anything.

Below the cheese chop, cozy inviting candlelit space. Decent wine selection by the glass and ok happy hour. I didn't eat, but looked like lots of good options for small plates and others. Smallish bar seating area, great seevice

The Cellar was a great experience underneath of Beecher's. I had been to the Beecher's in Seattle previously and it was such a small location that I really was able to appreciate this dining experience underneath the cheese making process upstairs. The charcuterie was well thought out, the mac and cheese was great as usual and combining all that together creates a nice relaxing atmosphere to have a great convo and great food.

I had the “world’s best Mac & cheese”. It was very good! Thick, creamy white cheese sauce over penne and baked. Top was nicely browned. Generous portion that I didn’t finish. (Were very good leftovers the next day.) If you’re not drinking a cocktail, wine or beer, they do not serve nationally known soft drinks.

solid spot for casual dinner with friends that isn't too pricey but has a good menu of cocktails and of course, charcuterie selection is way above average since it is a cheese cellar. the dark lighting adds to the ambience downstairs, and you can select 3 cheese for your basic tasting, or 5 items to construct a charcuterie. our cheesemonger/server knew a ton about everything on the menu and offered suggestions for what to pair with the cheeses.

Enjoyed the downstairs cozy vibe. Service and cheese plate recommendations were on point. Must take forever to light all those real candles!

Cheese is so fresh, jam pairings are perfect, bartenders choice cocktail for 11 bucks, cool ambiance!

Wow. Came in last week because I am obsessed with cheese boards and I heard this place was cute. It is beyond just "cute". First I had a happy hour meatballs and cheese plate... absolutely delicious. I got a hibiscus margarita Per my waitresses suggestion and she did not lie. This margarita was so good I ordered a second. My waitress was adorable she was so helpful being that I was new there she really knew the menu and help me get exactly what I wanted. I loved her her name was peaches definitely ask for her. The atmosphere was nice it wasn't overcrowded. I felt attended to the food was on point. Definitely bringing my girls here for a happy hour!!!

Great find! Delicious interesting dishes and cheeses (their own especially- cross between gruyere and cheddar) washed down with superb New York IPA. Friendly service despite staff shortages. Enjoyable evening.

Came here with a late reservation on a Friday night with two girlfriends (around 9:30pm). The basement is very intimate ambience wise with dark lighting and lots of candles. We all agreed it was a great spot for a date. We got a selection of three cheeses which came with bread, jams and some delicious spiced pecans. They are pre-selected samplers, but be sure to ask what they are that day to decide if you'd prefer to pick your own. I got the fig grilled cheese, one got the flagship grilled cheese and the other got the pepper mac and cheese. The flagship grilled cheese was my favorite - very creamy and decadent. The fig is good if you'd like a bit of sweet. We weren't a huge fan of the pepper mac and cheese and would probably opt for something more classic next time. We shared a bottle of cabernet Sauvignon which was tasty and overall the outing was very reasonably priced.
