Had brunch reservations for sat at 11:00. Got a text that they are closed at an hour before my reservation and no one is answering the phone. Ridiculous

So disappointed. Either they need to update their Open Table reservations system or make it more clear on their website, but I was able to make a reservation for brunch at their Nomad location on a Saturday at 11 AM through Open Table. Turns out, they're closed on Saturday or if they are open, they certainly weren't open when I got there at 11 AM. Would recommend checking and confirming their hours on their website and calling to make a reservation rather than using an online booking system.

Location is closed yet still allowed us to make a reservation. Showed up at reservation time and saw a note on the door saying it was closed. We walked to the other location and they seated us right away as no one was there. That's probably because service was really poor. I have been to the crooked knife multiple times and this is the first time at this location and I will not be back. The bottomless brunch here is not worth it when you don't have service and have to sit waiting for another round. Should have been charged for two small mimosas each as that's how many we all ended up having. Not worth it.

Went in at the beginning of December. It was...rough.Maybe one or two people at the bar and a single table of patrons and was around 6:30pm. I know they weren't near closing, so I'm not sure why we got the service we did.I felt bad: The server just had some kind of oral surgery and could barely speak. We also couldn't hear him over the music. We had to keep asking him to repeat himself. So maybe his constant confusion was due to being heavily medicated? Unsure. He had to come back to check that he had gotten our order correct because he had forgotten one of the two items ordered. We asked if they could turn the music down and they did, but then it went right back up after the next song. We asked again. They turned it down again. It went back up. No idea what was going on there. Food was...fine? Ok? Drinks were regular Cokes. They delivered something that looked like Coke, but tasted like flat apple juice. Maybe the line for the soda gun needed to be cleaned out? They replaced our drinks, but they were still off. Check was delivered maybe a minute after our meals had been served. I know I'm forgetting some other weird stuff that happened. The vibe was...just strange. It sounds less weird because I'm leaving out how the server never really understood anything we were saying and it took several tries to get the point across about flat sodas, blasting music, missing food, etc.I wish I could convey how bizarre this entire experience was. Like, were there hostages in back? Were they trying to close early? Did the server work there before that day? Unclear, but I won't be going back. Not worth the money.

We walked in for brunch on a Tuesday as a group of 4 and we were seated without a wait.We had called ahead and they confirmed that they do boozy brunches every day. When we got there, the waitress said they didn't have mimosas and they were only available on the weekend. Instead, she offered to make us any cocktail. When we tried to order our food, some of the menu items weren't available. The waitress said that they were only available on weekends. She also mentioned that they were updating their menu but didn't have new copies available yet. It took us 3 tries before we found food and drinks that were actually available. We ordered the Hang Burger, Fried Chicken Sandwich, and 2 Govner Omelettes. We also ordered a few of the cocktails on their menu, but some of them were unavailable. However, the waitress made us any cocktail they had the ingredients for and even gave us one of her own creations.Overall, it was a bit messy because of the availability of ingredients available. The staff was super nice and tried to accommodate us as best as possible. The food was solid, but I don't think I would come back up until the menu and ingredients are clearly communicated.

I ordered a kale steak salad and 3/4 of the steak was fat. I wound up spitting most of the lunch into a napkin. The server was very nice but I did not understand, she said she'd talk to chef and I'm waiting and waiting. What good is it to talk to him after I leave? I really really miss the waterfront ale house. I won't return here.

Great meat pies: chicken, shepherds, and service is so friendly, you'll likely exchange phone numbers with the server. They also are extremely tolerant. We had reservations for 6... half didn't show up. And one of us got so politically riled up, he stalked off early. Despite all that, the servers were friendly, and maintained their sense of humor better than we did.

The service was good, the food was good, and the ambiance was that of a classic NY bar. It's a good enough bottomless brunch just don't expect to be wowed. The service is nice and slow like a Usher song. They don't refill the bottomless drinks at a regular cadence. We ended up rushing our drinks at the end. The waitress was so nice a friendly so that is why they don't have 2 stars.I got the short rib hash with the eggs scrambled instead of poached. It was delicious and I really liked it.

Came to this place to meet a friend, there was this host from a game event, he was extreme hostile, saying it's a private event and please step outside. Horrible service.

UPDATE YOUR ONLINE PRICING FOR CK 30 please I looked online wanted lunch shepard's pie online says $15 I called in ahead of time for pick up 30 mins ahead of time and still wasn't ready. Then the additional cost because the computer only has set pricing of $20 for lunch so after tax $21.78..Aishling thought i had seen different pricing for 2nd ave location (but shepard's pie isnt even on that locations lunch menu) I double checked when I got back to my office it still says $15..The container wasn't filled up, they didn't evenly pipe out the mashed potatoes so the filling wasn't covered..food was below the container line too. At the same price, I can go to another spot and have a Filled UP container to go. Ground beef mixture was on the salty side, and there was no taste of garlic in the mashed potatoes.IF I come back, I would get a sandwich instead

Food is nothing to write home about, pretty average. The service wasn't very attentive. The atmosphere has potential.

Would not recommend. Forgot about us on the patio. Had to send avocado toast back bc it had no avocado on it. Forgot about us on the patio again. Beware credit card processing fee.
